The 2nd time in 2 weeks the RFL have been weak and religion has played a part in it.
Make no bones about the fact that if a player had used the homophobic statement he did in any other context they wouldn't get a gig.
I hope the whole RL community boycotts Catalan games.

Wigan have just confirmed that their game against Catalans on round six in March will now be Pride Day, as the Warriors 'look to support the LGBTQ+ community'.
Excellent stuff.

It would be great if every club in SL followed this lead and every away day that Catalans had as Pride Day. It's beyond funny that SL and the RFL are so spineless. There is no place for Folau. John McEnore showed the way this should have been dealt with when he was talking about Margaret Court at the weekend.

Bit Relax by Frankie and Home Town Boy by Bronski Beat on the tanoy with Keegan Hirst and Gareth Thomas present the match ball.
Who do Catalan play at Magic?
Surely they need to get some sort of appropriate sponsor.

They had space after they lost that chap to the NRL. His contract is probably much smaller than it would have been before he turned into a religious bigot. Do they also get some exemption due to him being away from league for a certain time? I hope we, and everyone else, follows Wigan’s lead and have a pride week when we play them. Just to show what this country and sport thinks of his views. Turn a negative into a positive.

I agree with the above comments. Wigan have played this very well. Our game should also be in support of the LGBQT community. Every game he plays should make it clear that his views are not welcome. If he says anything out of place at all in response they should ban him.
I can’t tell you how cross I am at this signing.

Much as I don't like her I'd love to the reaction of Louise Doo Dat who follows Salford.
Bet there are some choice comments on Twitter.

Interestingly, she writes; “As a proud and out gay woman I will welcome #IsraelFalou to the Super League because unlike him I chose not to hurt and offend others because of something they were born with. You chose how you behave in life. So let's show him that he can change that warped view he has.” Much as I don't like her I'd love to the reaction of Louise Doo Dat who follows Salford. Bet there are some choice comments on Twitter.

If Israel Falou had shown any remorse or attempted an apology for his bigotry, I can somewhat understand that the RFL would give him a chance. However, he has doubled-down on his views several times so he shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the sport.
Its frustrating that we get a bit of decent press coverage with the return of SBW, but the RFL is doing its level best to drag the game in to the gutter.
I also wonder what Fred Done and other SL sponsors think about this move and whether they had any say in the decision.

Wonder if a player refused to take the field against him what would happen.
