Something struck me last night, Thursday is the last time we will see Jackson (I'm convinced it is only for now) gracing Barton, we talk about creating memories at the new stadium this lad has done that over the past 15 months. All I can hope for is the chance to see twice more afterwards.
As for the game itself got to think this is winnable, my fear is that we will be exhausted after what's got to be our hardest game of the season last week. We must get some early points on the board as doubt we can hold Cas to a low scoring game.
As they are putting on free coach travel you'd expect a bumper crowd and an electric atmosphere.

It will be a long time before we see Jackson in a Devs shirt after this season, he has unfinished business in the NRL and probably won’t rest until he has proved himself back home. I wish him all the best and I am glad he came and showed us how the game should be played.

He won’t be coming back I’m afraid, he’s destined for bigger and better things. But like the flag says; don’t be sad it’s over, just be glad it happened.
I’ve just about recovered from Friday and starting to look forward to Thursday. Weather is looking terrible and fatigue/disappointment/motivation will be key. It’s going to be a very different game. We as fans need to get as up for it as last week - it is do or die.

Looking forward to Thursday, especially as I couldn't make the Wigan game due to being away . Hopefully Wigan hasn't taken too much out of us - it seemed like a massive effort from what I've seen/read. I think we can do it, and hopefully home advantage will sway things our way. I'm sure we'll give Hastings a decent send off regardless of the result. It's been an honour to have him play for us. I do have a sneaky feeling he might be back one day, probably more out of hope than expectation. Hopefully it's not in his twilight years in a Gavin Clinch or Robbie Paul style following relegation!

I've got a nagging feeling we might just have used up all our energy on the Wigan game. Can got an extra days rest and their game was nowhere near as intense against Wire. Really hope I'm wrong though! Whatever the result, the lads deserve a massive send off and we'll get to say a proper goodbye to Jackson.

I've got a really bad feeling about Thursday. As others have said last weeks game was so intense Ian Watson's got a mammoth task this week to lift and motivate the squad. Cas will come full of confidence on the back of an average performance but good result and we're the opposite. They also seem to be bringing a big following. I hope I'm wrong and I'll be there until the final whistle and beyond to show respect to those moving on. Maybe its 30+ years of disappointment but I can just see the best season in decades fizzling out with a lacklustre performance on damp night in front of the sky cameras. Somebody re-assure me and convince me I'm wrong.

I’ve felt the same a few times this season, each time I’ve been proved wrong. This team is different, it’s not going to be easy but I’m still pretty confident we can do it. They’ve still got injuries and suspensions, we’ve beaten them here already this season. I think we’ll have too much for them

Come on you miserable f*ckers, we're gonna win on Thursday!😁
I know it was gut-wrenching for the lads on Friday but I think Watto will be drumming into them how well they played and instilling the belief that they have the capability to take that extra step in play-off rugby. Everyone wrote us off against Wigan and we were one dubious ref decision/Inu brain fart away from taking the Pies to golden point. The players will have done their recuperation and they'll now be building themselves up for one final crack.
I've got every confidence the lads can back up last week with another stellar performance against Cas. The likes of Jacko, Josh & Logan will not want to bow out with a whimper and if we can recreate the atmosphere from Friday we'll give ourselves every chance. Let's do our part and make it a night we'll remember for a very long time.👍

The only thing that worries me about this game is whether fatigue will play a factor.

6 day turnaround and we are at home against a side we beat convincingly last time.
I`m with Slim - We are within the cusp of a Pot of Gold - They will give their all I am sure.

Without doubt this is our hardest home game of the year, winnable but Castleford have much more sudden death experience than ourselves.
I personally see this as a low scoring, nerve riddled win for Cas.
I hope I'm wrong but my head is telling me that's where the games heading.
To win we need to score first and score early, get early dominance in the tackle and avoid cheap penalties.
Oh and someone tell Inu if he kicks out on the full, passes back into his own in goal or has any other brain farts he will be made to spend a weekend in Wigan carrying a placard with the missive 'I do bum fun for pies'

MR let it go mate - he’s kicked out on the full a handful of times total and not since the Hull game. He’s been excellent lately, including last week apart from that brain fart which I’m sure we can forgive him for.
