He’s a good player who gets through a lot of work and runs decent lines but maybe doesn’t deal with pressure all that well and can succumb to the quicksand effect (one mistake quickly gets followed by a couple more). His brother also does this sometimes (see the Hull derby this year). I’m not saying this is what happened against Wigan as he was hard done to on a couple of decisions but it has happened previously. He doesn’t ever seem to have two of these games in a row though which fares well for Thursday.
Anyone know whats up with Johnson - injured?

Hastings cleared to play. Would have been A-typical Salford luck for our talisman to miss his home ground swan song due to deliberate thuggery by another team.
Tomorrow will go 1 of 2 ways for him, he'll either be unplayable and single handedly destroy Cas or the enormity of the situation will be to much for his young shoulders.

I’ve seen nothing so far to suggest it will all be too much for him - see his break and try last week for example when we really needed it. Earlier in the season he’d try a little too hard sometimes but he’s definitely developed- the Leeds game for example where he was really patient and did the damage early and late but never pushed it too far. We can’t expect him to do it alone in any case though.

I personally think it will be his finest hour, you'd not judge him harshly if it was all to much for him as there is bound to be a huge outpouring of emotion at him ending his Salford days.

Over 1200 tickets now sold. Some pics of Luke Gale taking part in todays captains run have led to speculation that he will play. Can't see it myself.

You’d need to have serious injury problems to draft him back in especially as he’ll be off to Leeds shortly. Good player but had no game time. Good news on the tickets. Looking forward to it.

I’m driving up from Brighton at 2pm this afternoon.... here’s hoping the A23/M23/M25/M40//M42//M6/M62/M60 are all clear.. 😳 Guessing it will be a tight and nervy game with rain forecast?

Twitchy bum time already. I get the train at 2. Hopefully I won’t get as nervous as last week!

I'm actually pretty relaxed about tonight. Whatever happens happens, just going to enjoy it. It's been our best ever season, certainly in my time watching Salford - finishing 3rd when many tipped us to be in the relegation fight is unbelievable really, and we've been a pleasure to watch.
That said, if it's tight going into the last 10 minutes, it'll certainly be squeaky bum time!
