. His final challenge to us was a name change. He lost that and has now spat his dummy out. He may have saved us but what is he going to leave us with now? I've always been in the neutral camp when it comes to Koukash he saved the club in our hour of need, he's brought some fantastic players in, but then there's the negatives which cancel out the positive things he's done, a lot based on arrogance, unwillingness to listen and bad advice. Not too sure about your comments though, what did he lose? He currently owns the club and could've changed the name and moved it anytime he pleased. What's he leaving us now, as the ins and outs have not yet been released I'm not too sure, but it appears to be a whole lot more than what Wilky left us. Yeh yeh Wilky supported us for years but he also nearly ruined the club I love and support.

I'd put money on Koukash ending up at Bradford Bulls with Andrew Chalmers who resigned from our board a few months back. The RFL will want this to happen because they have a vested interest by owning the Bulls stadium. The RFL will do whatever is necessary at Salford's expense for a Bradford in SL with potentially much bigger attendances. I think this is why Marwan Koukash didn't leave a parting shot at the RFL, who he's been so publicly critical about for years when he made the announcement.
I think MK seeks personal glory and has never had any genuine affinity for Salford. The club's fan base is far too small for his ego and I believe he finds it personally embarrassing. I think he knows he's realistically got much more chance of success with the Bulls who have a historically much larger fan base. I wouldn't be in the least surprised if Salford go to the wall now within a few months. I'll give the man the benefit of doubt for now but let's just see what unfolds.
What I find most bizzare is making this announcment without replacements ready and in place to answer the questions/concerns of the supporters. What an absolute shambolic transition for a "so called" professional sports club. Is it any wonder why the club can't get more people through the turnstiles?

BMM going to Warrington, are we surprised? (per Geoff Carter of the Sun, who broke the Koukash leaving story)
Nah.
What’s the plan Koukash?
Time you came clean for once.

"I'd put money on Koukash ending up at Bradford Bulls": I agree. there has been talk around the type of clubs we have in Rugby League. A common opinion is that the game needs to move to big cities rivalry (rather like now the top teams in soccer have the London V Manchester V Liverpool focus). There will always be room for the Bournemouths or WBA (Saints or Wigan) but to get media interest (and many speccies), base the concept on this model. So Leeds V Bradford and the Hull derby ... get the media in. Wigan and Saints have supporters all over the country so also have a media impact. Add Cats v Toulouse, Toronto v ?Quebontreal? and Sky will sit up.
I disagree with the model but it has been touted. So Dr K would get support from those quarters in going to Bradford.
