Because? Would help if you gave a reason why Dixon!!! 11,000+ ground > 5,000 ground Parking facilities > no parking facilities whatsoever! Shared training facilities + gym on site Shared corporate facilities Shared admin staff Potentially shared physio Joint marketing staff (wishful thinking I know!) Just a few reasons why I think it would work... And yes, I'm fully aware that neither club can fill an 11k stadium but seems stupid to have 2 full time pro teams using separate grounds and facilities. Why would they want to, I like you watch both but the class of 92 have full control of there ground & are not burdened with peel holdings & other outside influences. I also liked the idea when first muted but overwhelmingly the Salford city fans were against the idea of a move as a lot of the fan base has been build from around the Prestwich area.

Sadly as time goes by I think we might ending up sharing their ground with them.
The debt situation seems massive with the Club, the investment in the team has stopped, even 2 young potential good players are sent packing. We seem to be the only club not mentioning recruitment. Seems as though next year will be one of survival, hence smaller crowds again. If he had to go I think MK went a season too early, he was the man to build on last season but now, sadly, I can only see us going downhill. With MK probably joining his 'mate' at Leigh or investing in Bradford.
We seem to be on the Bradford path, Championship beckons and ground move. Well at least, putting the Dixon positive spin on it, we'll have a good local derby with Swinton to look forward to!
You're right Chief, thanks for the ride mate, never dull, but sadly you left when we were on the way up.

Dixon, even I can't see anything positive. Big debt, no backers, no recruitment, 7 players gone, tied to the AJBell.
Somebody find something positive.

He said he is getting some local business men involved in this plan. Why didn't he get the same men to come on board with him share the burden sort of thing. For all is faults I can't see him leaving us in the lurch,I don't think is ego would stand it.What ever the plan is the RFL are involved their was a big meeting at Red Hall on Tuesday.

For what it's worth, the RFL have to okay everything after making sure the best interests of the club will be met along with its financial obligations. If the RFL okay it then proper plans are in place. Initially we'll be fine, although I hope it will be sorted sooner rather than later. Whether the group of businessmen will be good for us long term, we'll have to see.

Sadly I envisage this to be the beginning of the end. The harsh reality is without a beneficiary Salford are a championship club at the very best.

Well, what a helter skelter ride, Thanks for the memories Doc. We can now look forward to the Phil Joseph type signings .I think everyone knew he would not last long, he is not a deep hearted Rugby League fan, the rugby is not in his blood. Many thanks for saving us at the time

I think he put a lot in but sadly didn't in the end connect with the fans. He missed a lot of help along the way. Asking the views of advisors, consultants, gurus from outside whilst the people who knew the answers were all around him. Sadly an us and them position seemed to be created.
One of the things that bothers me now is that the vociferous types who often don't think of the bigger picture take over; like the person who convened the meeting in Eccles and then wrote the poor letter (cf Dave Burke's well thought out and constructed letter) to the L Express.
Oh well we shall have to wait and see, as usual.

Think MK needs time away and if the new Trust is a success with increased crowds etc he might return. He said he was still a supporter.
As the arabs say Inshallah.

I'll be the first to say it. Vote Michigan Red, tough on Leigh, tough on the causes of Leigh 😁
