Certainly think Watson needs a Fotball Director i.e. somebody to look for other players, help with tactics, set up structures for A team etc. As I've said before I think Kear and Sheens are the best around. Smith not sure.

I don't think that would be a bad thing, as a DOR at least. And provided Koukash allows him free reign. He completely changed wire from top to bottom, starting at the bottom with the youth while at the same time taking a massively under acheiving team from the mess they were in under Cullen/lowes to winning the cup. He had a great owner who let him do what he wants at Warrington, would he be allowed the same luxuries at Salford? If so I think he could be great for us. I actually believe that the form we showed for two thirds of the year must have been influenced in some way by Tim Sheens contribution during his time at the club. It's a vacant role at the moment and I'm sure Smith would bring an immense amount of knowledge with him to support a young coach like Ian Watson. |
