The 17 I guessed at but with Ormonroyd starting over Shorrocks (I expected Partington to start at prop).

Only 15 minutes in but it's clear our centres are our strength. We've made good yardage through our three-quarters. We've looked decent with ball in hand but ill disciplined in defence. A couple of soft penalties giving away field position.
I also, think we need to be more aggressive in chasing points when we have field position. I wouldn't have taken the two there when we could have applied pressure on their line. We then couch up possession in our half (common last year on the first set after scoring points), gave away a penalty, and ended up with a man in the bin.
Nene is going to be a crowd favourite. If we fix the penalties and start completing sets after points I think Leeds are more than there for the taking. C'mon lads!!!

That's an awful try to concede. Really poor compressing the line like that and leaving so much room. Also, poor play from Nene covering.
5/6 penalties too that gave given then easy field position and points. We just need to cut out penalties.

Winning with the penalty count and a sin in against us. We've also had some good field position in spite of that because we are making decent yards in possession. We've defended out like multiple times too. Bodes well for the second-half.
Discipline and composure has to be the HT message and I think we'll come away with the points.
Got to be impressed overall. Well done to Rowley and the boys. Let's play clean in this half.
I also think we should have tried a drop goal in those last two sets. We'd have kicked two points of it was ok offer so why not kick a drop goal. It's an extra score.

Lads say the worked on discipline but doesn't look like it, like stated above, cut them out and we could hopefully come back with the W, very big 40 ahead

Not the best start with a penalty. Another test of our goal line defence. Can't keep giving this position away though as any team with score eventually.
The green card is a joke though.
Is it me, or are Leeds players regularly moving off the mark when playing the ball? There was one when Bentley pushed forward trying to get a penalty. The ref shouted that he was pushing. Why not penalise it?
