Let's get this right,we are not a top six side.We are a bottom six side who might get in the top six,if at the start of the season you would have said to me seventh I would have said good season. Also don't let's start questioning the coach.we have had more than fieldsends. We were a top six side last year with practically the same team. We've been in the top 6 more or less all this season. In the past four seasons we've been to two finals and a semi-final (where we were somewhat harshly beaten - no Croft, Ackers, played with 16 and should have had a penalty try). At what point do we raise our expectations from 'it's just Salford' to being in the playoffs and reaching the last four of the CC? When do we stop accepting mediocrity and existence and have the attitude to push on and redefine how people see Salford. I think internally that is happening. We are spending £2 million and have retained players for the first time in my memory (39 years old). We've turned down a transfer of Dupree. Rowley has instilled the right attitude and a good team culture. How long we can keep up this level of financing remains to be seen. I suspect we should get a further £1 million in funding and hopefully with an expanded commercial team we can sell the 400k of commercial assets that are unsold too. When we can change the attitude of what the club is, to a wider audience, is when I think we'll improve our crowds. We generally play good rugby and if we finish in the 6 for a few years and continue to retain players we can start to flip the script. It's a big challenge but there are some good people on board now. Let's be honest, the club can put as many billboards or adverts on screens at the TC advertising games like Salford v Leeds but it isn't going to increase the crowds - a random, non-rugby fan doesn't see a pretty poster and think 'I'll to to a game'. Events, family days and that type of thing, like against Wigan, have the chance to bring in new faces for the event as a whole. So does engagement in schools, with businesses and community events. Tournements and that type of think. These things actively introduce people to the game. Unlike a passive poster which is of little to know interest to non-rugby fans. But, these thing take time to build over the long term... hopefully we are still around to see it. As for lapsped fans, we need a bit of success (not winning trophies as such but competing) to bring them back... and to hit them with person specific marketing direct to the email or phone - far more people read texts than emails so short phone message marketing could be a way to go. It's funny, that people still talk about Leeds as if they're a top team and should always be in the top 6. Same with Hull FC who are always seen as a 'big club'. But the reality is that for the best part of a decade they haven't been. Wigan, Saints, Catalan, and Warrington have been the constants in the top four. Okay, the Wolves had a blip last year and Catalan had a rocky year before McNamara turned things around. But, besides those four, I think 5/6 has been to play for.

It's a perseption isn't it all things to all men. If you read some of the posts just lately since the blip, people are saying the pack's not big enough.Rowley Needs to be doing this or that,I wouldn't be a coach for the Guinness brewery. My perseption is that we are a bottom six side doing better than better than I expected. I know its not all about money I know,Leigh have a benifactor and so Huddersfield so it's not all money, but I am sure Rowley would like ago with some. If we get to the Grand Final I am over the moon, same as if we stay up even more over the moon like I say each to is own.

Greenwood playing for the reserves today. Tweet from the club seems to suggest he’s recovering from injury.

Even bigger game tomorrow, after the Cats v Hudds result.
If we lose we get dragged down into the mix with Leeds, Hull KR and Hull, Hudds not far behind.
If we win we are level with Warrington, Wigan, Saints - with a chance to go level with Leigh next week and Cats two weeks later.
Hope we get a decent crowd.

Leigh have rode their luck with injury this year but look very likely to be top 6. The difference with them is they play as a team and defend as a unit. Their squad is not stellar Lam is getting the best out of them. In contrast over the past 3 weeks we’ve looked lost at times in attack and defence, hope this changes tomorrow.

Out for Leeds Newman, Austin, Tetevano, Sangare, Sinfield, Gannon But they have a big squad Austin is a huge miss for them. He's been very influential the past two weeks and they seem to go how he goes a lot of the time. I think this week could go in a variety of directions. I wouldn't be surprised to see us score 40 or concede 40.

Yet we’ve beaten them twice already but at the moment we’re out of luck with injuries; no doubt their off time will come, it’s a long season and if Lam gets injured….😩

Today v Leeds is a tough ask, I am frustrated with the club that we have not looked for cover at 2nd Row in the past 9 days knowing we had lost Dixon and Longstaff to HIA's. But we are where we are, at least Greenwood got a run out yesterday in the reserves. Not sure what Rowley will do 11-13, maybe Lafai into 2nd Row or Gerrard/Hellewell/Partington with Addy coming off the bench. Massive game this in terms of top 6 and getting momentum back.

Do not understand Rowley's team selection we choose to put Costello on the bench and have Sidlow as 18th man, we have a weak 2nd Row as it is, our forwards will get hammered today. Makes no sense not playing Sidlow or are we planning to run around Leeds?

Maybe the plan is to use Costello in the SR rotation. Addy has had lots of injuries and niehtwr he not Hellewell have played 80 minutes this season. I'm not an Addy fan to be honest. I'd rather play Costello in the SR as his defence is decent and he can play 80 mins and theb have Sildow on the bench over Addy. That would allow Gerrard to spell Partington at 13 too. But, we don't know who has what knocks.

According to the radio coverage, we had another load of decisions going against us. Was that right?
