And the only way it’ll improve is if our Club aligns with all the others who play Friday…so we don’t have 9 days then 5 days …we’d have a constant 7 days..not rocket science…not even 11 +
I’d think the coaches must be really fed up at this set up…stupid…but that’s Salford

I wonder if Stone is fit this week. I'm really struggling with our 2nd Row choices this year Watkins aside. Wright has to play there when he is fit again. Dixon, Hellewell and Longstaff are not any better than Greenwood or Lannon. Surely with the share funding, Gate v Wigan and two more decent home games to follow we should be looking to sign or at least loan players, Sarge and Lannon have left we are two players down in an already small squad. At least try Greenwood he offers something different in terms of size. 1k of the Wigan gate were free or discounted tickets so probably not the revenue you’d expect from 7800 attendance. We need to convert these freebies into regular paid tickets to grow revenue over time |

And people say they missed jjr?!it’s boring!the short turnaround has happened twice all season and doesn’t happen again all season the first was Wigan away the second Wakefield,any other short turnaround is tv related,as for the squad and rowley it was rowley that brought all these 2nd rowers even though it was so obvious a front rower was needed!yes not a lot of money but what little there was could have been better than dixon for a start!

And just like Cher 'The original Diva' JJR is back  in the building. I agree with LH Red here. Rowley had money and made some poor signings at the start of the year, I did remark on it. Dixon/Hellewell/Longstaff are too similar even Stone to a point. Partington was the one top draw signing made. Sidlow's best days are behind him but he was signed for his vast experience, this is understandable. Its evidently clear we need a bigger forward be it a Prop or 2nd Row, Rowley chose to buy all these 2nd Rowers we did not need IMO. This is not the board JJR, it is a playing matter and Rowley's ultimate call. The irony is the biggest unit we have in Greenwood does not even get a chance and Lannon was sold. |

I think we’re going to miss a really important player this week thro injury due to playing games with a short turnaround. We seem to play Sundays when the majority play Zfridays, hence only 5 days inc travelling to Wakey. Our squad of 24 could be down to 23, a few of those not SL standard, and no funds to bring in anybody….top 6 ….um, possibly back on survival trail Play Sundays in the cold part when people need the air, Fridays in the summer when people want weekends to themselves and to align to other clubs and 7 day turnarounds?? Thoughts?? |

First of all there's a need to move away from personal references of any kind which don't help debate or any argument.
However, few time short turn arounds happen the fact is they do and RL is a contact sport it's a collision one. Anything that endangers the welfare of players is wrong even if only happened once in a decade.
At the moment the need for a prop is also disguised by injuries, form and whether the player is picked to play or not.
The reason is also a number of SRD's players and strategies have been analyzed and ways of making them less effective, new blood might help but it's certainly not a magic formula because nothing ever is!

I think it's a little bit off to mention a rumour about 'an important player'not being available and then not to name the player concerned, your post becomes a waste of time, either'put up or shut up' imo. |

I think rumour or otherwise it's wiser to keep it on here, though I'm pretty sure there have been lots and lots times when people have "half said" something on here. Although it annoys me a bit, not knowing what's going on, it sort of misses the point of being on a forum to expect everything to be absolutely clear and completely avoids the central theme of being an SRD fan if your not not in the dark most of the time.

With ref to signings we still have a Quota player spot for a prop but no money…in fact Cas Wakey HKR all bringing in mid season signings but we have none…but where are the cheap props anyway
Without Rowley developing a magical squad with little resource our crowds would be below 4k
But good to see the Forum, heating up a little 🙃..even got LHR blustering again,( obviously closely attached to the powers that be)
