Ackers should be back and Brierley. So I'm a little more optimistic. Although our poor home displays make me feel a bit shaky. We're more than capable but we really need to up our enthusiasm or we may be in for another torrid outing. Hopefully PR wont be picking the starting positions this week by stuffing the team names into wet sh1te, loading it into a blunderbuss and firing it onto a team sheet like last week...

Does anyone else think Rowley has a very black and white view of players, if he does not fancy you, your time is up. After Friday I'd look at our pack and change it, perhaps swapping out Helliwell or Dixon v Leeds who have a big pack. Rowley needs to change it up but will not play someone like Greenwood unless he has no choice. Seems strange to me playing players out of position last Friday (At the start) and then ignoring one of the biggest forwards we have, at least give the lad a chance.

For me we should have all five of Dupree, King, Ormondroyd, Sidlow, and Gerrard in the 17 each week. Four core props and Gerrard to rotate with Partington as a prop/loose. Atkin then picks himself as the fourth bench player. Wright, when fit, should be starting SR with Watkins. Having so many backrowers and only five props is really starting to hurt us. One injury means we lose size in the pack. Two and we're in big trouble. It's the same with form. Ormondroyd hasn't been himself this year. If we have another prop to bring in then, sure, make him 18th man for a few weeks, but we don't.

I should also add, we don't know what kind of knocks the players have that are limiting minutes or form. I'm a fan of Ormonroyd, as an example. We knew we were short at prop before the season started. Maybe we can get a loan player in.

Agree on the forwards. You can't play without some size in the team. I know Greenwood isn't a world-beater but he's a decent player and a big lad, Surely he should be an option if others are out. Ormondroyd seems to be in the doghouse or he's carrying an injury we don't know about.

Also agree on the kicking game. It's been dire all year, even when we've won games. Sneyd isn't getting his eyes up pre-kick to identify the most space to aim at. His kicks aren't deep enough either. I don't mean when he's kicking from our 20, but there have been numerous occasions when he's kicked from our 40 or the half way and they take it directly on their 20/25 and return - he just kicks it high and seem to aim exactly for their player. Even kicks that are from the opponents 30 seem to come down on the 20 most of the time. What's a winger going to do if they catch it? Surely it's better to get the ball as close to the try line as possible (high or low). There was a kock he made against Wigan shortly after an Atkin break. It went from the 15 to the 10 and had no height. I don't know what goes through his mind there. Either put it high to come down on the line or kick it low and in behind to punch the aggressive defence.

I think we’re going to miss a really important player this week thro injury due to playing games with a short turnaround. We seem to play Sundays when the majority play Zfridays, hence only 5 days inc travelling to Wakey. Our squad of 24 could be down to 23, a few of those not SL standard, and no funds to bring in anybody….top 6 ….um, possibly back on survival trail

Play Sundays in the cold part when people need the air, Fridays in the summer when people want weekends to themselves and to align to other clubs and 7 day turnarounds??
