Gerrard was pretty vague and as knowing abit about what's going on he has no interest in rugby he has no interest in putting money into the rugby and the council are still waiting for his offer! People who think he will be our saviour I'm afraid will be let down because he's not! Does anyone know if Gerrard has actually put in any sort of bid yet for the stadium .... |

Presumably Gerrard has to do his Due Diligence as and when the Stadium Company provides full information. He then has to negotiate with presumably the Council to see how it will be used and then the Joint Stadium Company on the value.
Its Sale, with presumably full knowledge of the worth / lowest cost of the Stadium who just made a bid supported by Salford FC who wanted to get out of Moor Lane and we’re told would get £4M of local tax payers money to do it. Quite amazing really and Salford RLFC supported them, it seems.
Hopefully Gerrard is working with the Council to keep the Stadium as a major sports asset for the City, (as every city has one) not allowing it to be ‘stolen’ by self interested Sale at a knock down price and saving the ratepayers 2 x £4M.
So it will take time, and Sale have the inside track with their links to Peel. (To me it always seemed a bit of a stitch up with Sale , Peel and Stadco)
So to me we need to support Gerrard as both supporters of the Club and ratepayers.
Additionally the consultants working with the RFL would probably see Moor Lane as a Godsend to get us out of SL. And a lot of Championship teams would have far better facilities.

Agreed JJR, hence the stadium petition is vitally important, we only need to get another 775 signatures to hit 10,000 which mandates a response from Salford CC and raises the profile of the situation.
