Didn't make the match but listened to it on the radio, not good.
Looking from the outside in, it's does seem to me there is a general lack of club discipline on all levels. On the field poor discipline players being sin binned, sent off and persistently penalised. Now the club being fined again for breeches of covid. This is simply not good enough it needs to stop now. It smacks of players ruling the roost. Mr blease and the coaching team need to come down on this behaviour.
On another topic I am not blaming referees for this the amount of penalties given away for high tackles in the league.
The ref's are just carrying out the protocols of the rugby league in attempting to stop the high tackle, they don't want to be the first regulatory body to be sued by players for negligence, in that they allowed such tackling to carry on when the game was trying to stamp it out.
So when a player whose 6ft6inches tall tackles someone whose 5ft it's an instant penalty. The league will be won with 17 dwarfs in a team eventually.

Sundays game wasn’t in the top 20 worst performances I’ve seen. Possibly not the top 50! Massive over reaction I like how people talk about us being lucky to have a buffer of being several points/% above Leigh. That ‘buffet’ is the result of us winning more games than them and Wakefield. That’s not luck it’s down to the coaches and the players just as much as the poor performances are. It is far too early to get rid of a new coach. There is no single reason why we aren’t performing. All clubs will have different things going on. I honestly believe this has been the poorest standard of RL I have ever seen at the top level. Wigan are awful yet sit in the top 4, catalans are ok and are nearly unbeaten. Saints not a patch on the 2019 team. KR and Leeds very average but doing ok. No-one apart from cats and Saints has any consistency. I think we are the only team to go into the season with a new coaching team, a massive change in player roster, one of (the?) smallest wage bill, and losing our senior players on top of everything else that is impacting all the rest. Some of that applies to Huddersfield who are in a similar position with a lot more money spent. I am as unhappy with this season as i anyone else but sacking the coach now is pointless. Ask Leigh! There were plenty calling for Watto’s head in 2018 when he’d had far longer to sort things than Marshall has. My opinion is that Marshall isn’t as good a coach as Watson but I’m hoping he proves me wrong or at least get us competing for the top half of the table again next year I sorry to disagree with you Patrick that you think alot of us are over reacting but Sunday was dross,and we can make as many excuses as we like we get the same answer it was dross.You think Marshall is the right man,I don't, one of us will be proved correct.For Salford's sake I hope its you because if I'm right we will be in the second division. Also I don't get this their not he players I think its a poor excuse.Chelsea sacked Lampard they fetched in someone else,he won the Champions League with the same players.As I say I can't agree with you on this one. |

For what it’s worth I think it looks like a lack of respect for the coaches
I’m not saying the team downs tools but they don’t look like they want to play for RM , whether that’s a personality thing or they don’t want to play to his game plan
There doesn’t seem to be any consequences for penalties or indiscipline otherwise we wouldn’t have the same high penalty count each week
I think we either hope to stay up this season and then let RM play with his own recruits or cut our losses now if we can afford it

No place at our club for 'fans' mouthing-off like that. There seems to be a fair number of grown men that seem to be so socially and emotionally stunted that they can't seem to contain their inner thoughts.
