Just my opinion but I think we have come out smelling of roses.

No one really knows how it will play out. However how many Leeds players have been a success this season? Not that many. Which suggests there is more to their poor season than just the signing of Lolohea not working out.
We're obviously not out of the woods relegation wise but there's currently 7 clubs closer to it than us.
Next 3 home games are Hudds x2 and Catalan where you would hope for at least 2 wins.
Wigan will be a tough ask with a weakened forward pack. I just hope he doesn't become an early scapegoat if we suffer a couple of defeats, although at least it will make a change from people blaming Olpherts.

His blaming and an opinion the same thing I think not.I personally think Olpherts as gone as far as he is going that's not blaming him I just don't rate him I think people on the forum have been fair with him.

If we’re looking up the table rather than down, Leeds and Lui could really do us a favour by beating Catalans. Their form is shaky and I think we still have to play them at home. We’ve got more chance of pipping them to 5th than stopping the rise of Wigan in my view. That’s true. But really, we all want Leeds to go down, don’t we?

Do SL contracts become null and void after a team are relegated?

Do SL contracts become null and void after a team are relegated? Yes, would think that part of our recruitment stragtegy will be to pick up a couple of players, of all the teams down the very bottom Hull KR would have the 2/3 I'd like to go for mainly Masoe to add beef to the pack.

It would be funny, but if I had to choose between that and a playoff spot for Salford, then I'd be backing Salford.
For the game's sake in a broader sense, having the best supported (at matches and TV attendence) team outside superleague next season, when the TV rights are being renegotiated, would be a disaster. We are perhaps the club most likely to suffer badly if TV revenues are reduced.
But I also think it would be very bad for the game's integrity if Leeds are artificially protected from relegation when we know that small teams like us would be merrily waved goodbye.
It's a strange old season! Highest points tally and still getting relegated (SL era) is Castleford who were relegated on 14 points. Looks already like whoever goes down will have passed that by the end of the season.

No that is not the case for clubs remaining full time apparently.

I would think individual contracts have a clause allowing players to leave if relegation happens. I would think all players contracts would need to be renegotiated upon relegation.

Leeds have signed another. Filled the Kolpak quota spot that Lolohea left open:

Do SL contracts become null and void after a team are relegated? Think so, we could probably resign Lui

See this is where I get confuddled.
They had to offload Parcel so they could take RL but then they can sign Martin without making any space.
So we could sign a load of Cook Island players and them not count on the quota.

I must admit that even with a decent knowledge of immigration law and Kolpak, the Rugby League quota rules still confuse me!

So they had one spot after that which they’ve used on this new signing. Is that right?

No, Lunt is from the UK (well Yorkshire but until I become El Presidente it's in the UK) and they had to swap Parcel for him to make space for RL.
Crazy situation really, if you're not from the UK then really you should count on the overseas quota.
