Total rugby saying the deal will be done before the end of the week, sick to death of the big clubs shitting on us, getting close to stop watching Super League.
So Leeds stay up we could go down, where are we going to get the same quality . I know we get a fee , K£275 being muted it just chokes that’s all.

This does though point out the issues we had losing a perfectly winnable CC game, think it was mooted it cost us £150k that we needed to run for the rest of the season, at least if we get more than that we must surely have money to spend and loose I'd guess our 2nd highest wage earner.

Leeds are mad. We’ve played a blinder. I’d have preferred to keep him obviously but I was starting to worry about how thin the squad was getting- we can now worry a bit less and also be more optimistic about next season’s recruitment.
Hastings is good enough to carry a lesser 6 as well - if we can get someone who can kick out of hand we’ll be ok. Playoffs will be a step too far but they were always going to be.

Tbh whatever the figure , sell. He’s been ace and will always be the star man but he wants away and we need Hastings more. If we can use it to keep Jackson and partner him with a running SO then we will be fine and a bit better off in the pocket. Whoever came up with £275k is deluded. I would imagine <50k

I'd rather keep Hastings if we had to lose one of them. Lui, as great as he has been and can be, he can be inconsistent at times. He's not irreplaceable by any stretch of the imagination. If he's out of contract at the end of the season, might not be too bad an idea to get some cash for him and let him go early, as long as we can get a decent replacement. The fact we find ourselves in these predicaments is the frustrating thing though. As 13 put, another 1000 on the gates and we'd be able to keep the majority of this squad. And just imagine what we could do if we got nearer the 7k mark - sad  |

Gutted to say the least. His performance against Cas particularly his defence was awesome. His partnership with JH is rather special and they make the decisions at crucial times. Yes we all know its the best partnership in the league and I know its inevitable one or both would leave, however just when the league is approaching a crucial part of the season. One of our better players off to join a rival who I would love or as Kevin Keegan once said "love it" if they went down. I know a fee comes into play but now when we have just got to the top 5 and want to stay there, I believe the timing sucks.
As regards crowds...unless you keep winning or have a decent cup run then unfortunately the catch 22 scenario kicks in and you just don't get the following.
I just find the whole lot demoralising but I suppose that's `being a Salford fan`

Unfortunately this is the pond we're swimming in. Has happened before (Myler, Ratchford, Coley, Naylor, Big Ben, O'Brien) and am sure will happen again.

I think Lui was a great signing for us. He has been one of the best stand offs we have had. I believe the Hastings / Lui partnership has been the best half back combination in the League this year. If he has to go for financial reasons then we have to accept it, but I hope Ian Watson has some irons in the fire when we are in with a shout of the play offs. When Robert Lui has been injured we have really missed him and I want us to be able to look up the table rather than down!
