bonitared . If you speak to fans from the big top five clubs Wigan, Saints, Wire, Leeds, and Hull, They'll agree that this has been one of the most below par seasons of Superleague on record in terms of standard and skill levels.
However, if you speak to Salford, Wakefield, and Widnes fans they'll say they've improved in all areas.
The truth is, no one is wrong. Every club is right. The standard of the top of Superleague has declined, World Club Challenge is proof of this, whilst the lower half of Superleague has improved. The middle Eight results are proof of this against Championship clubs with the exception of Leigh. However, you're festing over Salford's result last week, whereas I'm fuming about a very poor Huddersfield team scored two very soft tries which against better opposition could've been worrying. We're very capable of scoring thirty points and also very capable of conceding thirty points against anybody. It all depends on if the players turn up, have you forgot the times they've failed to turn up this season.
We'll see on Saturday if the One Game Wonders can be consistent.
DI I have no idea where you stand or sit at the AJBell or even if you have actually attended any matches this season but all I can say is that where I sit in the West Stand nobody has come out with the kind of statements about the team this season that you have. So the Hull fans are not happy with their season up to now?Off course they are,Leeds fans were not happy because of their poor performances on the field, they are happier now. Our performances this year have been an improvement over the last two/three years and apart from a couple of poor performances overall we have performed well. It appears to myself that you are your happiest when you feel that things are not going well, that was the case during the last few years at the Willows and the time since we moved to Barton and you obviously get some sort of misguided pleasure out of your posts etc. The teams on field performances are much better than last year, the off field performances have also improved although there is room for further improvements, definitely on the use of social media or should I say not using it. Are you unhappy with Ian Watson and Tim Sheens? What about The Academy coaches do you not rate them? I and many others still enjoy watching the team play,we still enjoy the cameraderi amongst the fans at matches and we will be at Leigh on Saturday and if we don't perform we will struggle but the same applies to Leigh. We then have Hull KR the week after ,the team will really miss you if you stick to your promise of jacking in watching the Reds.

Nice post-Greg. And well observed. Sorry to be a tad blunt but the club doesn't give a toss about its supporters, nevermind targeting a new area etc, the Old Regime are responsible for Salford's demise and the current owners haven't helped matters, with the way the club has been handled recently, they're literally millimetres away from nailing the final nail, it's been in the hands of a bunch of comedians ever since Snape handed the keys over to the comedians. Then Arthur Daley handed the club over to another comedian in Koukash, Laughing stock is unfortunately imprinted in our DNA., hence this ridiculous situation we find ourselves in. And this was predicted by the now dormant support who have decided to stay away and vote with their feet many many years before this disastrous move to the White Elephant was dreamt about and then prostrated to us without any consideration.
So the club was warned about this erosion of support and they answered by putting Two fingers up to the heartlands of Salford. Build it and they'll come was a well-proclaimed quote by the deluded board members.
I have now put Two fingers up to them like many others. I decided to give it a go at the White Elephant. And now I've had enough. I cannot stomach the comedy show anymore, If Koukash, the players can't be arsed well neither can I.
And yes, we played well on Sunday, people are festing about Sunday's performance. So what, I ain't fickle like most fans, we're usually consistent at being inconsistent,One Game Wanders, the damage is far too deep rooted to ever overturn in my eyes.
The only way I can see a resurgence in support is if the Doc pulled off a masterstroke in getting involved with Swinton's project and sharing amenities, however, he's not got the heart to even consider staying on nevermind relocating us back where we belong.
So I'm sorry Greg for painting the true reflection of What was once Salford Rugby, You've got one hell of a shi**y road ahead, get off while you can you mad-head. You won't last long watching this turd of a club, it's all uphill believe me.
Dantes Inferno with the greatest respect we don't need negative "supporters" like you at the club. There's nothing wrong with the new stadium or getting to it for that matter, me and my friends park at the pub or the unadopted road every home game and it's convenient as f**k. Same old excuses by part-time supporters in my eyes.

Got told yesterday that the Doc is gone at the end of the play offs regardless of results, that Peel are taking over the club and that we have signed Green & a SO from Hull KR. Not entirely certain how reliable this is (possibly need JGR as a barometer) but I'd see Peel taking over as a positive as they would get the right behind the scenes team in place and you'd like to think that they would work wonders with the marketing. Doubt it MR :- a) He loves the game b) Money no object. c) He loves the attention d) He would not leave his unsecured £3 million input for the Fans owned set up e) By signing to the CVA over several years he is thus committed for that span.

I've only started following Rugby League and Salford this season, attending my first home game against Huddersfield on Sunday - what a brilliant performance! I've read numerous times on this forum as to how the remote location of the stadium has meant the club losing many supporters from the Willows, as well as making it difficult to attract new ones, and I saw this for myself at the weekend. The AJ Bell is clearly not very accessible, with people seemingly having to park quite a long way out and face quite a trek to the ground. I was just wondering, roughly what is the population figure within a mile of the stadium? Given its inaccessibilty, surely it is these people that the club should be targeting as regular supporters? Hi Greg, it's great to see a new supporter taking a keen interest in Rugby League and Salford RLFC in general, the game and our club needs more people like yourself. I completely agree the club should be heavily targeting people in the Irlam, Peel Green, Eccles, and Winton areas first to lay a solid foundation of regular supporters. Unfortunately the marketing at the club (Other than social media) is currently non-existent but from my understand they are making a conscious effort to improve things moving forward. The AJ Bell isn't very accessible which is why the new road will be implemented in due course, typical Salford how the bridge project f**ked up of course! Once completed I believe we will begin to see much heavier investment in the surrounding stadium area which will inevitably lead to an increase in attendances due to an increase in public transport links and infrastructure. Undoubtably we will see more people driving to games due to reduced times waiting to get off the car park after matches and a greater number of away fans travelling to games because they'll be able to "Make a day of it" It's all just a little bit of a waiting game at the moment though, tbh I think everyone agrees that we should never have moved stadiums unless the road was built in the first place, the RFL are the only people the blames for that though, we'd have never left unless it was on our terms otherwise.

Dantes is just the same as he was before being banned on RLFans. I don`t think hes ever been to the AJB & possibly not to the Willows either. He has certainly never given any praise in any of his postings on there or on here.
He is certainly not a fan of Salford and probably watches Swinton on the odd occasion he may pay to watch a game. Ignore his views as they are baseless, boring and irrelevant.
I would suggest the Moderators ban him from posting on here as otherwise you will find a similar decline in interest which arose on RLFans after Flat Earth Stanley and his alter ego Mario Rugby hi-jacked that arena.
Get rid now Moderators or accept the consequences.

Let's all play nice shall we? If posts get out of hand then I'll deal with them. While DI is a glass half empty type of fellow, he's not written anything that warrants any attention just yet. You want to disagree with him then fire away, just make any criticism justified. This forum was started to avoid bitching and back-biting. Everyone can disagree, but it needs to be constructive. Let's all not get all hot and bothered as we're likely to fall off the edge of the earth if we're not concentrating.

Quite correct Carnster nothing but a very jaundiced view that doesn't and wouldn't stand out on any given RL forum sadly. I just don't see the point in hanging round somewhere when it makes you that unhappy, but there you go. I was quite amazed I must say by the support the Doc has recieved out there on forums and just a little sad to find stuff on here by SRD fans that was less so. Even Jack Dearden and Trevor Hunt were very positive the other day and they can spoil parties for a living. I can see a bright future with the Doc and a sad slow decline without him that' s all. Eyes on the Prize MK!

We have a very, very good team. Why walk away now I think it ultimately boils down to whether we retain our SL status for next season. I agree that with a fresh start and no points deductions hanging over us, we could be right up there with the best of them next season. However, it would be nice for MK do state his intentions sooner rather than later so that not just the fans but also the playing and coaching staff are made aware.

It will come Doc, our time will come!

We need to no know now if Mr K is staying board with the Reds.
No one would blame the Doc for jumping ship he's had a go and it's clearly not for him Rugby League.
But in saying that what's all that about him joining the board at Leigh if he decides to take his leave from Salford?
It's no good waiting for the end of this season WE ALL NEED TO KNOW NOW...

Yes it would be good to know. No RL is for him and he is made for RL' If he joins any other club that will put him in a different category altogether. What we need to know has to be measured against his health and family and I hope he stays.

The lack of news coming out of the club also put this in my mind.I think MK is going. I think he may let a group of supporters take over. I don't believe there will be any other buyers. In this case, at best we'll become Fev on this side of the Pennines and at worst we'll be in a slow path to meeting at the church for last rites and goodbyes. This has nothing to do with the team's performance the other day,I'm over that already.Normally, I can keep the flag flying no matter what, but when I see the future looking like this I can't see the point.I'd also prefer to go out of business tomorrow than linger in the championship for years of watching the patient get weaker and weaker until we follow York,Trafford, Kent Invicta etc etc into oblivion.I don't get depressed or maudlin, in fact I'm in a really good mood today so these conclusions are out of left field.
In any case, all the best to SRD fans and everyone on here in particular but I think I may done with it all.
