Totally agree. Either way it’s ridiculous. Speculation, but does Koukash’ lack of action on it hint at his remaining enthusiasm for the club?
Or, further speculation, could he have learned from the salary cap debacle and be pursuing things privately behind the scenes?

I suspect the hard part is quantifying what effect it has had, the Doc could go and say we had Hayne lined up and look what an impact that might have had, there is no real way of saying what the impact would have been.

Mate, unless there’s another millionaire with cash to burn waiting in the wings, then you’re probably right that it’s Marwan or bust. I’d also agree that there are signs (so far *just* signs) that things are finally going the right way. Ignoring his twitter rants is head in the sand stuff though, it’s embarrassing and utterly unprofessional, and our passion for SRD is exactly why we call him out on it. I’m also genuinely interested in what number Nigel Wood has done on him. The Dobson quota thing was ridiculous, but there’s no evidence (yet) that it was conspiracy rather than **** up. The points deduction was Koukash’s fault and was found to be fair and reasonable by an independent tribunal. Am I missing anything else? Tweets are about as important as what I had for tea on May 11th 2001, They're a modern day necessity for some and a complete irrelevance for people like me. This is not ostrich stuff stouffer just a relative gauge of how important it is in real terms. The discusion is not about the salary cap that is done and dusted and the fact that the Doc is not happy about it may be largely useless but it is perfectly understandable. I think promises were made and little truths left out about the situation at Salford, like selling someone a house and neglecting to mention the plumbing, electrics and damp. I consider that a number. All of this is about what we consider important the future of the club or the quirks of the owner or come to that the questionable motives of many of his critics. R

Personally I am amazed that more hasn't been made of the Dobson quota 'error'. You would hope that is was just that and not done with an malice from the RFL. I found this remarkable too. Oops! doesn't quite cover it does it?

We'll have to disagree. I would say that repeatedly and publicly calling the head of an organisation fat is bellend schoolboy stuff at best and potentially damaging at worst. The point is more that his social media persona seems to be just an extension of how he is around the club - jgr off here is clearly a wee bit in the know and paints him as someone who needs to be centre of attention. That can work as a strategy (Richard Branson maybe?), but it plainly hasn't so far.
To extend the analogy, if you buy a house without a full survey then more fool you. Are you honestly suggesting that a business mogul worth an alleged 500 million quid doesn't understand due diligence?
I think the debate is more about whether you think Koukash is capable of delivering. My stance is that up until the appointment of Sheens, his tenure was one of recklessness and unprofessionalism, and I'd say the facts back me up on that one - we've delivered nothing on the pitch and been an absolute circus off it. Have we got one or two more years of Sheens? If we can find another Koukash-wrangler post-Sheens then he's got a chance, otherwise I fear a slide back to old ways. Obviously that's nothing more than a hunch based on personal opinions, but I can assure you that it's my love of Salford that drives my mis-trust of Koukash.

Stoufer we'll have to disagree and I will never place any importance on a tweet or facebook post or any other internet waste of space activity no matter who does it.
The cave at emptor approach to this is part of the problem and just a matter of how you interpret the events.
Yes I think he is more than capable of delivering even if his focus has not always been on the right things.
We all love SRD and I will remind you he brought our rightful name back, and that is just one thing he's done and then there's Tim.
Good win today though, eh? R

I think the importance of unbiased thought is key here.
We need to sit on the fence and judge things without attachment or emotion to get to some part of the truth of matters. Otherwise, we're just running-out our own opinions, which is fine, but with those opinions come our own prejudices and bias. Being able to offer opinion without those biases is the most important thing. Modern news and social media are rife with emotional feelings engaged before the brain settles in. For some it seems that they thrive on professional outrage at any slight, and others who wont change opinion based on facts. It's a hazardous environment.
The trouble with a lot of people who talk about MK is that they do it from a certain point of view. Negative or positive. Not many offer reasoned opinion highlighting both or pointing out their own shortcomings.
This isn't a pop at anyone on here just a point of view I feel strongly about. I always try to see both sides of a story before I give my opinion, and will always do so.

Oh aye, of course. There’s no such thing as an unbiased position and few of us are privy to the actual ins and outs at the club, so it’s all just speculation. I’d totally agree that I’m coming at it from the angle of not caring for the way the guy conducts himself, but whether that has any bearing on Salford’s success is debatable.
On the hard facts, if he walked away now then I don’t see how it couldn’t be viewed ultimately as a failure, but there’s no reason at all he can’t stick around and make a success of it.
As for today’s game, sadly geography means I rarely make it to games anymore, so rely on radio, Sky (very occasionally) and text updates - always glad to read the post-match chat on these forums.

Maybe me thinking too much in to it, but to me there was no way 2100 there today, id say double that. Could it be messing with the figures to give marwan an excuse for bailling?

stoufferA proper and full post match review will follow but one of the most professional performances I've seen from Salford in my lifetime, defence was outstanding, attack at times sublime and Tim Sheens inspired game management when needed. How often can we all say that about Salford?

I honestly think if he was going to leave now wouldn't be the right time to do it. We've easily got our best squad in the Super League era and somehow he's persuaded the main man Tim Sheens to run our Rugby department. If we can keep these players together with a few quality additions for next season and get rid of some of the dead wood in the squad, there's potential for a strong year in 2017.
Simon Orange and Ged Mason would be taking over at the very good time indeed if they were to come in with a bid for the club.

For all his failings, MK saw that he needed to get someone in to do the job he was failing at. So he went out and got the former boss of the Australian Kangaroos to do it for him. Not only the very best choice to do that, but unusual that someone in his position admits his failings. Everyone is the winner on that score.

As mentioned it seems that the attendances for the home play off games will be a factor, if true why on earth did someone decide to play yesterdays game at the same time as the football, stupid really when it wasn't on Sky meaning we could easily have played Saturday afternoon and got a few hundred more down.
