The thing that really angered me is the officiating at the Saints game. The incidents v Saints were reviewed by the Video referee and they got a talking to. No cards but trey had two players banned one for a grade E offence and Matty Lees got 2 game ban one against Halifax. Not really much of a ban for deliberately attacking the head. Three points
- Why was he not red carded in the game?
- How can that type of tackle benefit the offending team? Salford lost a man for the game (And now season) and Lees got to play out the end of the game
- Why the total inconsistency in decision making dependent upon the team doing it. Similar incident the day before on Sky which got a straight red

Rowley states on Sky that if it’s a football decision the transfer won’t happen Does seem a bit Ironic that we have a fundraiser in place and one of the reasons is to prevent this type of thing happening. No criticism of the board here because we have to make the correct decision for the club. My only concern is our lack of depth in the front row. Hopefully we can get a good replacement in if this happens. At least Tyler didn't "Down Tools" yesterday .

I lost my phone at the Hull game last night and a really kind person handed it in at the bar in the West stand after finding it. I'd just like to put on here a big thank you to the person who did the kind deed of handing it in to the bar staff. I didn't notice for a while, and had a few minutes of despair trying to find it, I eventually located it behind the bar. I'm assuming it was a fellow Salford fan but there were a few Hull fans mixed in with us. Again, thank you so much.

That's as poor game of rugby as I've seen for a long time. We were shocking. We had a lot of ball in good territory and made poor decision or error after poor decision or error. I think we went in with the wrong attitude and can't believe we got a win. We've used up a season of luck today. It seems we turn up when we're not expected to win, when the pressure is off... that might be good against Wigan but if we play like today it'll be like going back to the early 90s and we'll get hammered. I couldn't see from the South stand but does anyone know why the ref blew up after their full back knocked on and Wright (I think) picked it up and went under the sticks. From where I was it looked like a knock-on and we recovered it first so it should be play on.It was right in front of me and the ref blew straightaway without giving us any chance of an advantage. He was appalling today, way out of his depth. Wakefield's first Try was a mile forward, so much so, that I wasn't concerned it would be given. When he gave it I couldn't believe it because the Touch Judge was right in line just like I was. The second try also looked a mile forward but that was on the far side. Another blinder, was penalising for an incorrect play the ball in the 80th minute just after Sneyd dropped a goal. Shades of a certain Challenge Cup final from a couple of years ago. Every 50 / 50 went Wakefield's way today That doesn't take away from the fact that we were very poor today. I don't think we broke the line in the second half and the error count was nearly as bad as the Hull KR game. In the end we got the 2 points because the team dug very deep today. That at least should be applauded

I figured English would likely be a priority signing for Hudds given he's squad hunger of 15 but I'd certainly love him. I didn't pick up on Norman. He's a good shoot. Big man and mobile at that size. He'd definitely be in our price range. I'm a bit worried that King is OOC this year and I think Dupree and Gerrard next year so prop is huge. I hope we extend Dupree long-term as his best years are well ahead of him.I had the same issue with hooker. Maybe the championship or an academy player? I don't know who is coming through at other clubs really though I also see Wigan fans complaining about Powell and how it's ridiculous the younger guys aren't getting game time. Championship is probably more likely though I would think. Tyler Dupree signed a new long term deal a couple of months ago salfordreddevils.net/tyler-dupree-pens-fresh-three-year-contract-with-salford-red-devils/ which is great news

I phoned up on Thursday and renewed over the phone. I think it's option 1 on the main phone number 0161 786 1570. I've also just gone down to the ground in the past and they were happy to do it in person. Need to choose another pic for the profile Salford1961! Camster, Thanks for the advice. I'll need to think carefully over this one as most of our players don't stop too long with us

Moose has been a great player and leader for us. Really sad to see his career over like this but wish him all the best in his retirement and thank you for some great memories. Have to agree his try against the pies in the Semi final takes some beating as our best memory of him. The Conrad Hurrell punch was pretty good too but I'm probably not supposed to say that

It's obviously a much needed win and although it was against a youthful Castleford side a win is a win. Looking at the Salford squad on the website we have 30 players of those 12 were unavailable for one reason or another, 2 have left the club (Kear & Lussick) and Connor Aspey is loaned out. So we had the 15 remaining players + 2 players borrowed from other clubs. It makes the result even better bearing in mind we struggled last year against St Helens & Warrington's academy players last year.

We are now about a third of the way into the season after having an extended pre-season and from a supporters perspective I would have expected to be in a far better position as a team. After watching all the games this year here are some thoughts, some of which the coaches have no control over, some they do.
• Attack – No Structure, bunching in the middle and far too flat when we do put on a play
• Defence – Very poor compared to the last few years. Not slowing the play the ball down hence always on the back foot and conceding yards. Far too often, not taking the legs to prevent further yardage. • Kicking, very one dimensional, Tui Kicking it as far as he can high in the air which normally finds a defender. Attacking kicks, normally too long to contest the ball. Exception, Tui’s kick for Ken Sio against HKR
• Injuries, been very unlucky this year with about 7 out most weeks
• Players playing out of position, eg Sarge is never a fullback and weakens our centre’s when at fullback.
• Player rotation, even allowing for the injuries, we have players moved to different positions and not allowing the team to gel
• Team spirit doesn’t appear to be there
• Lack of fight when things get tougher
• Some refereeing calls going against us
• Lack of discipline
• No leadership
• Desperately need an organising Scrum half and a starting hooker to move us forward
Our defence is as poor as I've seen it in years and the attack is as bad as the Sean Macrae era
Something needs to change or we will be relegated

Just to let Season Ticket holders know that I've just received an email to apply for the ballot for the Warrington game. So I'm assuming that these have been sent out now. The reason I'm posting on here is that I nearly missed it because it didn't go into my GMail Primary folder, it went into the Promotions folder which I don't normally look at. If anyone else has Gmail it may be worth looking. For future reference I found an article that allows you to configure Gmail so that a certain email address gets routed into your Primary folder Automatically Move Gmail Messages from Promotions to Primary Tab

Hi
Thanks for the relpies. I didn't get mine and tried phoning a few times and eventually left a message this morning.
I didn't get a response but then sent an email about 5.00pm and they phoned me up about 30 minutes later. It's now all sorted as they sent me two tickets by email in lieu of Mine and my sons season tickets. They are very busy so maybe an email is better than phoning
