In your last post there was some hope for the club. I was saying i was worried it could be all over for the club.

Amazingly MK said that at least Watson could spend the full salary cap this year but we seem to be pruning rapidly. Even our potential future starlets off Bent and Williams.
So the usual end of season drams, we end up again waiting for the cavalry to come over the hill and save us.
Perhaps it might be worth looking at the German football model where the fans out all or most of the club.

If our fans run the club it will be diabolical, I'm sorry but it will, let's be honest.

I cant find it now but the report I read said MK was stepping down to be replaced by a Board but the 'owner/ Parent Company' wouldn't change. If i find it I'll post the link.

Chan it does work in Germany and no reason why it can't work here (and ticket prices at top clubs start at £10, compare that to Utd)
There is a 50+1 rule where the members, fans, association have controlling interest. For example Bayern Munich, here Audi and Adidas own 9% and the fans own the rest.
It could work easily in RL, where the club only needs £2M a year to run it. It just needs people to work on it. And the people are there, they just need to work at it. Let's face it we would have stability and control for ever.
MK could be a sponsor as could lotsof others and the club keeps control.

In my humble opinion there’s not a chance in a million that Koukash will leave his money in,unless he retains total control. My guess is that the ‘parent company’ has funded the club,so has run up significant outstanding debts and MK is looking to offload it, debts and all. If he can persuade a consortium of local businesses the share the debt he could walk away . The truth is that we have little idea how the money side has worked so I’m purely speculating, except that I’m certain he won’t leave his club to be run by others, not in his DNA

You never know unless you try (or indeed ask).
Part ownership by him, more investment, less hassle might give him the glory he desires. How do you think it started in Germany and why do the majority of clubs run that way? Don't judge without asking the question.

This whole thread is a rumour until MK makes an announcement. While it might not be financially prudent for him to remain as the owner, I doubt he will leave us in the hands of charlatans and see us struggle after he's gone.
I've asked him to do a Q&A for the site but he hasn't responded. I'll try again in a few days.

Exactly, after the whole rebrand and move to Manchester story, until it comes from the Club it is speculation and rumour.

What happens in Germany wont happen to Salford. We're too small in all departments. Money, fans, turnover, and potential income in a small sport.
What we can hope for is that when the keys are handed over, they fall into the hands of someone or people that will take a good crack at it.
