Watson is still learning, I don't really blame him for the dip on form. Last night, even Leeds and cas wasn't because anyone had worked us out. We just didn't play well. Still hoping we can turn this round, confidence is a strange thing that can be quickly changed in either direction

Yes good point. I remember how we took Wakefield apart in the last cup game. Hope we start with the same attitude against Wigan. I think the problem we've had this year is that we were intent on staying in the top 8, achieved but by the same people all the time; no rest for Tasi, Dobson, Koppy etc. Then we were successful in the cup run. Not enough hands on the deck and not enough rotation. Hopefully Watson will learn.
And MK, if he wants success, has to have faith; now is the time for investment. We do need a bigger squad.
And if he wants bigger crowds he has to listen to the fans not has beens from NZ. The admin links are awful, easily fixed, why hasn't our guru spotted this?

Was told by an ex player a couple of months ago Robbie Paul is an absolute chance who is just feeding the Doc hyperbole that he wants to hear.

No that wouldn't surprise me either, it's certainly possible.8 very tough games coming up. We'll see what we're made of over the next couple of weeks

Winning runs always come to an end and so do losing runs.
All teams in Superleague will contain battered and tired bodies at this time of year, Salford are no better or worse off than any other team.
Our expectations have risen over the season, but we still have to learn to expect and accept setbacks.
Overall we have to be pleased where we are.
Will we win more games this season? Of course we will.
Can we beat Wigan? Of course we can.
Will we beat Wigan? It will be very difficult, but if the team have a good week injury recovery-wise and Watson and co. can provide a very good game strategy and fill the air with positivity, then we can.
What have we got to lose? Nothing, bring it on.
See you there.

Well said, Jimmy. Sadly I think Rob Lui will be out and I hope Dobbo and Carney, with a beefed up pack can control the game for the first 20.
Carney has been there and done it in Oz, now's the time to turn up Todd. If Lui is fit, Carney should be the starting hooker and Lui the starting no 6.

Thank you Redjack,
I think that there's a case for putting Obrien at 6 if Lui can't make it or 9/replacement 9 if Brining is out.
GOB is creative, one of our best passers of a ball and it may surprise Wigan.
I would make room for GOB whatever as we struggle to create opportunities when he is not involved.
Cheers,
Jimmy

Whelham's a decent centre and has completely outdone expectation we had for him. Even so his defence is suspect as its always been. For a bit of a panic buying when we failed to sign Naiquama he's done alright. Don't think he'll be here next season mind and from reports in the Aus and English media is that we are in the process of trying to sign Naiquama so a centre is still on the list.

When Watson refered to players ''losing there shirts'' who was that directed at as i missed the game?? Could be any one off the 17 bar tasi. Dobson had an absolute stinker but for me he looked like he was trying. Can't really say the same for carney he didn't really seem to get involved. I'd say welham will drop out, although he was by no means worse than anyone else. Maybe Lannon, wasn't his best game. Griffin looked injured. Can't think he'll drop anyone else

were you at the match Gadger? Wondered if you heard about players coming back that could replace others? Yes but didn't hear anything about anyone coming back. From what doc has said on twitter (not that I believe a word he says) koppy and walne should be back. Concerned about brinnings injury, I thought it was concussion but with that I would have thought he'd be back soon. Fingers crossed on him. Heard yday lui was a sprained ankle, if so he has a chance for next week. As someone mentioned on twitter, even if bmm gets cited for his high shots he should have the option of egp. Neither hit looked bad to me, but you never know. Hopefully he'll be ok

Beat Wigan next week and we can gladly lose all 7 play off games as far as I'm concerned.
