Maybe I am looking for an argument! People like Dixon drove me back to what I know and away from a sport I enjoyed. I am simply saying that he did me a favour in that he prevented me spending money on a team who just lost to the worst team in the league. Grow up mate.

After about an hour of last nights match, O'Brien ,Justin Carney, Lui,Mossop,Brinning,Koppy,Flash,Adam Walne, were all missing from earlier in the season, when the team were rocking. Maybe with the guts out of the team,we are not quite on the mark. One comment from me,I've not understood the clamour to displace O'Brien with Evalds. It wasn't broken,so why fix it? We have lost our most potent attacking weapon, which wasn't being Sussed by other teams. We looked sterile on attack last night. I agree with you. As an outsider looking in, and I may be totally wrong here, it looks like Watson makes some team choices to appease certain players. Evalds at FB and Carney in the halves. It seems like messing for messing sake. Certainly in the halves where injuries are not the deciding factor as he often squeezes Carney, Dobson, and Lui into the same team. Seems odd to do that then push your most potent attacking player into dummy half. Surely Carney would be a better choice as his distribution is decent and to have a decent kicker from DH could be a real boon. Evalds and GoB situation is frustrating. While both do a good job in different ways there seems to be a lack of consistency in that key role as they are two totally different players. Is it any coincidence that we were consistent when Watson held back Evalds and Carney as their peers were playing well and couldn't get in? We are missing Mossop, Koppy, Brining and Flash in a big way. That's a big chunk of your go-forward right there and the guys coming in are not hitting the same notes.I'm hoping that the injection of Vatuvei and McCarthy can put a spring in our step once again, but it's a big ask and we've no time for them to bed-in. And don't forget, Carney used to provide lots of go forward coming out from our line. This also gave the forwards a chance of a breather when getting back behind the ball.

With the current mindset and dip in coffidence, I'm not sure getting a few players back is going to be enough to turn this around in a week for the semi?

Maybe a bonding session at a Midweek Racecourse with El Doc may do the trick?

That was a shambles. Lets be honest wigan will do us. We've lost that enthusiasm and can anyone tell me what kris welham and george griffin have to do to get dropped. Welham missed the 2nd most tackles in the league. George griffin is 100% never a prop been awful this yr as well

Welham should be dropped, jones to centre, McCarthy in. Unfortunately we haven't got a whole heap of options at prop, griffin has time on his side but it's definitely not a starting prop at the moment. Get a front row of koppy, brinning and walne I'd say we have a chance next week.

Fans are not being fair with Welham. Its quite clear the `tactic` is for Welham to take first drive even from a penalty but he still has better attacking `hands` than Junior Sa`u who for me would be left out for Jones next week if all personnel fit. As said previously `The Beast has to be fed` and Welham probably the only centre willing to do so. Oh - and for me - Dizzy Murray a better proposition than Griffin who doesnt look 75% fit currently.

Disagree re sau/welham. Sau far superior, welhams defence terrible and he doesn't pass either! He's been good most of the season said it before better than I expected, but not good enough for top 4 side. Agree re griffin though doesn't look fit

Gadger - Lets be fair - When has Junior ever given a first time ball to a flying winger? As said previously he has to brush up his tackling too with Gelling his next opponent. Oh for a Shenton with Manu. Really feel that Gleeson should earn his corn with our centres especially when to part.

I don't think many players came out of last night's game with many positives. Perhaps Tasi, but that's about it.
I agree that we've been playing full tilt all season and the squad is suffering from burn out.
Carney kept trying the cut out pass to Johnson but it just didn't work. Welham kept rushing out of the line and mis-tacklig his opponent. The forwards were very slow at getting back onside. It felt as though Leigh wanted it much more than us. I just hope we can raise our game for next week or a pasting is on the cards.

Not doubting junior isn't exactly Martin gleeson, I'm saying welham doesn't pass either and sau has much more to his game. Am with you though we're crying out for a centre who is good with his hands, not had one since moon

Welhams put Johnson in numerous times this season Gadger, as mentioned in this group many times.
Agree his defence has become suspect though.

Each to their own, I know who I'd rather have in the team on Sunday

Each to their own, I know who I'd rather have in the team on Sunday I agree Sau is a superior player but they are different types of centre. I'd rather have Manu outside Welham than Sau for the reason that he is much more likely to recieve service.
