The wheels have definitely departed the game was over as a contest at half time the worst of it for me was that clown parading the beast round before the game, what a lemon that man is.I can see us not winning another game. Lucky for me that I took your advice and f'ed off back to RU! Since taking your advice and spending money on a SS season ticket, Salford have now lost to the team bottom of the league, dropped out of top 4! Good advice fella!

Maybe I am looking for an argument! People like Dixon drove me back to what I know and away from a sport I enjoyed. I am simply saying that he did me a favour in that he prevented me spending money on a team who just lost to the worst team in the league.

Who gives a **** what a RU supporter thinks. Anyway back on topic. Tonight was the worst I have seen since London Broncos last year. Our backs were atrocious and forwards non existent. Please do not tell me Carney is a class HB he was garbage tonight same as Cas last week. It was embarrassing to see a team like Leigh quicker at the PTB and showing more effort than Salford. Anyway we will finish fifth how many of us thought that at the start of the season. We are above Wigan Saints and Warrington. The wheels may well of come off but for a team who were seconds from oblivion, this year has been nothing short of miraculous. I will be there next week hoping for another miracle

Obviously SS forum not very entertaining then eh? But do us all a favour lad, remove the 'red' from your username cos you are no longer one of us.

And that sort of abuse is exactly why I no longer even try to be there! Read my history and I have been honest throughout but thugs who pretend to be rugby fans have and continue to drive many others away from the club.

I'd take a long hard look in the look in the mirror, you came on here with a post like that when Salford fans are hurting, for one reason, to provoke a reaction.
If you've finished with the club why feel the need to come on and comment like that, then pull the bully card when the message gets the response it was intended to get in the first place.
One word WUM.

We've had a great season regardless, blah blah blah...
This team has shown a worrying trend of slipping back into old Salford. We've been awful for weeks and can only see it continuing. We're at a stage of the season where teams have to build up their intensity and belief. At the moment we are devoid of morale, structure, and intensity. I can't see anything but an embarrassing display coming up for the semi. Nilled by the bottom club is unacceptable, especially for a team that sits where we do with aspirations of grandeur. Whoever said Carney should be first choice hb week in week out now needs to hold their hand up and admit they're wrong. He's a shadow of his former self and will be gone at the end of the season.
It's all very disappointing. That belief and drive that was so evident throughout the season so far has evaporated. The team looks tired and mentally are spent. We peaked to early and now we are fading back.

Had a feeling that going to happen, just what we needed going into the most important game for the club in almost 20 years.
Where's the passion gone and cohesion as a team gone, is because we're missing the likes of Koppy and Flash and don't realise the real impact they have on the team?
How do we pull this out of the bag as looking at this and the previous number of performances Wigan will have a field day next week.
Can see a few losing their places, also Lui's potentially out and BMM could be cited for those two high tackles.

After about an hour of last nights match, O'Brien ,Justin Carney, Lui,Mossop,Brinning,Koppy,Flash,Adam Walne, were all missing from earlier in the season, when the team were rocking. Maybe with the guts out of the team,we are not quite on the mark. One comment from me,I've not understood the clamour to displace O'Brien with Evalds. It wasn't broken,so why fix it? We have lost our most potent attacking weapon, which wasn't being Sussed by other teams. We looked sterile on attack last night.

We have lost our most potent attacking weapon, which wasn't being Sussed by other teams. We looked sterile on attack last night. I agree with you. As an outsider looking in, and I may be totally wrong here, it looks like Watson makes some team choices to appease certain players. Evalds at FB and Carney in the halves. It seems like messing for messing sake. Certainly in the halves where injuries are not the deciding factor as he often squeezes Carney, Dobson, and Lui into the same team. Seems odd to do that then push your most potent attacking player into dummy half. Surely Carney would be a better choice as his distribution is decent and to have a decent kicker from DH could be a real boon. Evalds and GoB situation is frustrating. While both do a good job in different ways there seems to be a lack of consistency in that key role as they are two totally different players. Is it any coincidence that we were consistent when Watson held back Evalds and Carney as their peers were playing well and couldn't get in? We are missing Mossop, Koppy, Brining and Flash in a big way. That's a big chunk of your go-forward right there and the guys coming in are not hitting the same notes. I'm hoping that the injection of Vatuvei and McCarthy can put a spring in our step once again, but it's a big ask and we've no time for them to bed-in.

We are probably the only team in the league who's gone full tilt all season, not really rested anyone and now we look to be paying the price. We look totally shattered, and confidence has gone.
Form has been poor since wire away, can't think of a really good performance other than wakey cup game since then. Although that last night was the only time we've been really bad. Even in the other defeats we've played ok, wakey, saints, even cas had chances to win. Hopefully part of last nights atrocity was due to having an eye on next week
I'm hoping the new players plus chance of getting to Wembley turn this around, improve confidence and give us a boost going in to the 8s.

I agree with a lot of what has been said here apart from the childish Irishred.
One other factor which MAY have arisen last night was the fact that the players found out how much Manu will be on. Its a tough game played by Mercenaries & the pay packet is always #1. I hope that it isnt the case of course but I have seen attitudes like last night`s many times before.
There was just no interest, sharpness or alertness. Junior Sa`u was guilty for 2 tries himself last night & I worry that he will not `Feed the Beast` so I would switch centres.
Yes I was a Carney supporter for the 17 - Not - to replace Lui or Dobson - but IN the squad - and he still should be on the bench. Our 6 & 7 should never have been tampered with.
Ladbrokes are Wigan -6 this morning so I am getting on and covering later in the week when the Layers realise what happened last night.
Its a tough hill we are facing and our small squad is really facing some adversity.
Not knowing the Injury/Disciplinary news I would guestimate chances of playing next week (Please suggest otherwise) :-
BMM 50% Lui 10% Koppy 50% Flan 10% Mossop 0% Warne 50%

I didn't think either of bmms hits were that bad, but difficult to say from where we were stood. Lui looked bad, I didn't see what happened to cause it whether it was a knock or a twist? Apparently he left on crutches last night, but that could be totally precautionary
Hopefully brinning is back, missing his speed around the ruck. Got a feeling koppy and walne will be back.
