McGuire was sin-binned for dissent in the aftermath of Greg Eden's try in Friday's home defeat by Castleford and has now been hit with a grade C charge of foul language towards the match official.
The half-back has the option of submitting an early guilty plea, which would mean an automatic two-match ban, or could opt to fight the charge at a disciplinary hearing in Leeds on Tuesday.
it's looking like that he'll miss our match, what a bounder!

Watched the game. He lost it with Hicks a few times. Can't see him appealing it. Bonus... 😁

He was well out of order but refs have been too lax for far too long about dissent.

MaGuire and Jones Buchanan are only banned for one game each and 'will play against us, but there is a silver lining:
Quoting Total RL:
Leeds Rhinos coach Brian McDermott has confirmed that experienced duo Rob Burrow and Brett Ferres are both set for extended periods on the sidelines.
Burrow will be missing for around six weeks after having a plate removed for his shoulder, effectively ruling him out completely of Leeds’ Challenge Cup semi-final with Hull at the end of next month.
McDermott confirmed: “We also lose Brett Ferres, who’s having an operation on Tuesday to clean out a knee. So we lose him for four weeks.”

Have we got any plans in place to counter the barrage of forward passes? Just asking, like.

Jimmy Only a Leeds or Wigan player can get a one match ban for a Grade C Offence (2 or 3 Match ban). Was uncle Gary & Aunty Cath on the board? The RFL disciplinary is an absolute joke and should be replaced with three wise monkeys. Imagine a Salford, Wakefield or Leigh player appearing for the same offence! I'm sure they'd get away with a one match ban.

If we win on sunday and saints beat Hull i fancy us for 2nd then as Leeds have to play Hull the week after and i think leigh will rest their player for middle 8's. Read that Leeds have a few injuries so its gonna be a cracker. Anyone know if we picked up injuries against gaints.

Presume Wood will be spelling Brinning at 9, so Hasson and Bibby to miss out for me.
What's up with Carney? Has this turned into another Locke and Vidot signing, only Salfords luck to sign 3 NRL stars and all turn out to be extremely under whelming.

How long is Carney's contract? I hope we can keep hold of him for at least another year. . We've been lucky with injuries and you can't justify dropping Dobbo or Lui at the minute but we need to keep hold of him for next year as we might need that cover & experience. Just how he's not pi55ed off at not playing every week.
