I think if Flash is ever injured we should move Griffin of Krasniqi to loose, the trend now is to play more mobile prop who can play the full 80, FI Klemmer is playing #13 for the Bulldogs in the NRL.
I would feel much happier playing Evalds at the back rather than TC, ok we will lose a playmaker if GOB is out but a brilliant player as TC is Hull would pepper him all day long and I'm just not convinced he would cope the same as Evalds.

I think when you look at the Saints game you'd have to say TC needs to be in the centre of the park. Skills, time, footwork, kicking. I think he'd be wasted at FB to be honest. GOB fits the role well, but I'd go with Evalds at the back providing a more traditional FB role if GoB is out. You don't get the chance to have former Dally M winners in your side often. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me to have one and use him as a third pivot once a set.

O'Brien took a knock going for the bomb where Dobson was judged to have obstructed a chaser by moving his shoulder blade a fraction😉 Not sure if he's out for the hull game though. If he is I would bring evalds in. He looked good there in pre-season against Rochdale but hasn't played there since. He looks capable of doing a similar job to GOB minus the kicking game. Carney might be an option too. If they play Varney then it suggests to me that evalds days are numbered! If Lui had a hamstring pull on Thursday then I'd be tempted to rest him so he's fit for Easter. So carney at 6 and evalds at 1. Possibly bring Wood onto bench Why bring Wood onto the bench? If Saus back you have the following staring in the pack; Mossop Tomkins Koppy Jones BMM Flanagan you'd have on the bench; Brinning Tasi Griffin Krasniqi or Walne

If Gaz is out I would imagine it will be Todd Carney at FB. Evalds does not fit the mould of what we use a full back for and how they play as that extra pivot. Evalds game is much more the backing up or putting in to a gap type or player.
If Evalds is to stay it is as a centre which last year the coaching staff told him that is where they see him. However he is not our best choice at that position either currently

His one on one defence is poor and he just doesn't look like being able to address that. His only realistic position is winger, but Johnson is currently better,or full back if we have injuries Like Greg Eden he could flourish elsewhere which would be sad

I see Evalds and Lannon played for Fax yesterday.
Watto must be trying to keep them match fit.
Edit - just seen Matty Wilkinson was named in the 17 too.

Wood was an option if they want to keep up the 3 half back options and Lui is out or Carney is at full back. Not one I'd necessarily go with
I disagree about Evalds. I think he can play the pivot tone as well as being a good full back. I really can't see him as a super league standard centre for a few years yet
And Michigan Red - you're right. I of course didn't mean Reg Varney. I meant have Reg Vardy at full back. I think. We have too many choices!!! (I like the park the bus gag though)

Unless players are injured then surely it should be straight swaps for minimal disruption. I'm not into moving TC to full back when we have a ready made replacement in evalds. Also wouldn't it be good if the club had an up-to-date injury page on their site, wouldn't be that hard... wishful thinking eh.

Not sure I concur on the injury list, not many if any of the other SL websites have an injury list. Yes fans want to know but surely it keeps cards close the chest and other teams guessing? Long term injuries are different as a progress update would be good to see.

I am only going off what Tim and Ian spoke about him last year saying he was not a fb but saw him as a centre eventually. I don't think he is as natural a ball player as Gaz and given the choice between Niall and Todd, Todd has to get the nod this week.

Surely as a full back that is even more important to have a good one on one defence is it not? I would actually disagree to a point there. I don't rate Johnson that much and think Niall actually is a better strike winger. He lacks the size though that Johnson brings which goes with how we use our wingers but in terms of skill he is ahead of him.

Always said Evalds has that knack of just being in the right place on the wing and his defence by nature is good from his FB days.
I have a dislike of Johnson but he is a good quality winger, at the minute it would be harsh to drop him for Evalds, I still would though.
Evalds needs a bullocking centre who offloads inside him, think JJ/Evalds would be a cracking combination with Junior/Carney as pure battering rams on the other flank.
As far as TC goes don't care if he is named as prop he has to be on the field, watching the highlights it's obvious he has so much more time than other people and if someone follows him he will pop the ball out, makes me wish we still had MCB who I think would be unplayable if he went with TC.

See George Griffin did a little spread in the current bun, that his mum will secretly be wanting Hull to win as Josh is a mummies boy and then Josh replied on twitter. Good to see a little hillarity before the game.
It must be difficult playing against siblings especially when your really close, has anyone been in that situation before knowing that you could potentially hurt someone you care about or does the professionalism kick in and winnings the only thing that counts.
