Wow... Didn't see that one coming. Wonder who will make way for him?

It's simply too good a signing to miss for the Club.
You'd think that someone may make way for him, but maybe not. You're not going to be paying significant wages for a player to sit on his rectum and Dobson, Lui, and Carney wont be on peanuts. It wasn't really an area we were struggling in but Carney is different gravy so I understand why Watson would want him brought in.
Who do you think should make way for him?

I guess we were all expecting the announcement to be the signing of a centre!
I wonder if the either Dobson, Lui or Carney are being considered as a hooker?

IF he can stay fit, I think we've got ourselves a very decent signing. He didn't really pull up trees at Catalans, but to be fair he was battling injuries.

There's no reason we can't run with all three.
One on the bench who rotates with the loose/hooker. Flash to move into SR?

Guess we've dropped the no sickness policy then. Smells more of Koukash than Watts. Not and area we need strengthen so bit confused

Given their track records with injury, the chances of Lui and Carney both being fit at the same time are remote. Baffling signing, unless the rumours linking Rob Lui to Leeds are about to come true. Or maybe they're doing a Michegan and wondering how he'd perform in the centre. I'm going with Lui to Leeds, otherwise we've just used up our last overseas place, thus limiting our options for strengthening the back row, which is where I think our main area of squad sparseness lies.

Given their track records with injury, the chances of Lui and Carney both being fit at the same time are remote. You might be right there. with 3 quality HB's we give ourselves plenty of options. Carney is a versatile player so when/if Lui and Dobson are fit there are still areas on the pitch where he can fit in.

I wonder if that sank in...? Time will tell.

Is he coming under the Marquee rule or just based on the fact he can't get an NRL gig his wages are much lower than you'd expect.
Brilliant signing, history more than his fair share but without doubt in the top 3 halves in the comp.
I mentioned just a minute ago to someone that I can see Lui either off to Leeds or not fully recovered from his knee issues last season. Would love to see Lui and Carney in the halves as quite frankly they would rip a new one for more of the defences in SL, I wonder if Lui (if fit and stays) might be tried at #13 with Flash moved into the 2nd row, he has the size and obviously the skills just not sure if he'd be a defensive liability.
Hope there is a clause in his contract that prevents Tasi from showing him the 'sights' of Manchester, scrubbers and publicans must be chomping at the bit in anticipation.

'Jeff McRib is lolling at this' is a bit OTT. A muffled chortle, but I agree. And he'd better not piss in his own mouth anymore. I've heard that's not good for you.
