'Jeff McRib is lolling at this' is a bit OTT. A muffled chortle, but I agree. And he'd better not piss in his own mouth anymore. I've heard that's not good for you. Tory politicians have scantily clad ladies do it on a frequent basis and they all seem to live annoyingly long lives Maybe he needs to get someone else to do it, but include mild flagellation and wearing giant nappies - I wonder if any Universities would get funding for studying if that combination had an effect on life expectancy?
Sorry Admin, this maybe straying somewhat off topic...

I'll have a go at getting back on track. This signing could go either way. He'll be absolute class or a prize pain in the arse. Hope it's the first. Just looked at the website and still no squad on there, could we still be out shopping? Or just slow at getting things put on the site

Someone on Twitter pointed out keep him fit and he's focused, it's when he gets injured he goes potty. Would love to know what happened in France, just didn't want him or he did something he shouldn't have.
It's enough to make your mouth water though him and Lui ripping defences to pieces, can't wait to see Junior, Carney mk1, JJ and especially BMM (how much do you want to see him powering onto a Carney short inside pass) hitting holes that Carneys slight of hand creates.

At its simplest,Carney is a better player than Rob Lui. The issues are fitness, attitude, commitment and how his partnership with Dobson will work. I think Lui is toast ,unless we've swapped him for Watkins !

Rumours were that Carney & Dave Taylor likes the odd bottle or two of the local wine.

It's been said we've plenty of cap space left so adding strength in depth seems logical. If Lui was off to Leeds, I wouldn't have bothered giving him a run out at Rochdale. Another player who is staying could have had some game time

Rumours were that Carney & Dave Taylor likes the odd bottle or two of the local wine. I believe it was a bit more serious than that. As a result of what occurred after a Catalans game, Deakin has been re employed at Catalans as Player Welfare manager, and a new rugby director brought in.

Tasi's Lazy Middle
This was mentioned in some detail way back in Nov.
Notwithstanding Todd's many quirks & ' irregularities ' . anyone who watches the above link will understand the guy is class on the field and understands the game inside out .
he's obviously been brought in to sort out ' Tasi's Lazy middle ' ...

Let's just hope he's been warned about his behavior and sticks to whatever promises he's made or out the door. None of us like to see the club dragged through the mud as seems to happen all too often. It will be nice to have strong options at half back which is an area we've struggled in seasons gone by

Another player who is staying could have had some game time But they're adding strength in depth to a position that was already pretty deep. Lui and Dobson as first choice, with Wood and O'Brien as back up. If they were just adding strength in depth, then surely the second row (and maybe centre) is where the need is greatest. All a bit mysterious.

This scenario seems to be devoid of Michael Dobson. I think you're in danger of grossly underestimating his influence on the team.

I understand what you're getting at but whats to say the club has announced all the signings they are going to make. I don't think any of us saw this transfer coming. It was mentioned a while back but the general feeling on here seemed to be 'no chance he'll come to Salford'

he's obviously been brought in to sort out ' Tasi's Lazy middle ' ... I've always been impressed with him as a RL player, and listening to him unravel individual plays straight after the game is a real eye-opener into how class HB's operate.

he's obviously been brought in to sort out ' Tasi's Lazy middle ' ... Firstly there's Salford's new voice for the media, not constant you know what I mean or er er er. Very very impressed by that. Doubt he is going to find the same defensive strengths at Salford, still say we should adopt the Brisbane approach and wait for the defence to hit our line and avoid the wrestle to aid numbers in the line. Tasi always has and always will be looking for a bell ringer, much rather him concentrate on a decent low hit than trying to decapitate everyone he hits.

I guess our policy (under Tim Sheens) of signing players in the 24 to 26 year range and not signing idiots and scaliwags, has gone through the window now. Supprised with the Todd Carney signing. But we will have to wait and see, could be a masterstroke. just hope he is not a MATE of marwan, he could be suing for unpaid wages this time next year
