www.loverugbyleague.com/post/super-league-round-two-predictions-love-rugby-league-versus-sky-sports-pundit-barrie-mcdermottthis is interesting They have it as very close "BM: It’s been a big week for Castleford but what they can’t do is feel sorry for themselves because Salford showed what they are all about (last week at Leeds). Paul Rowley sides have tremendous character, they can play, they ask questions and he really harnesses that underdog spirit better than anybody I think. Castleford showed signs of improvement last week but I just think Salford will have enough to get the victory. Barrie’s pick: Salford by by 8 DD: I think this game has the potential to be one of the most entertaining clashes in Super League this weekend. Salford are so enjoyable to watch when they are in full flow, whilst Cas looked much-improved before Liam Watts was sent off last week. I think it’ll be a close affair, but I’m going to back home advantage on this one. Drew’s pick: Salford by 2"

I fancy us by 12+ to be honest. Unless there are any Injuries we dont know about from last week and even with the penalty king back. I agree with earlier poster that we move the ball quicker and better than cas so if we play to our strengths I can't see anything other than a win

Bet 365 has us as firm favourites and Kinetic RL predictions on you tube has us winning 26-6
Both of these seem optimistic at best, but we can always hope.

We'll definitely miss Ollie's workrate. It givess. Shorrocks a shot to show what he can do at LF.
I'm surprised Nofoaluma is playing. I'd thought he'd want more time to adjust to the time zone. It's a looooong trip.
I'd assume it's the same team as last week except: King in for Ollie (with Shorrocks playing LF). Nofoaluma in for Hank or Cross.

He's in the squad. Doesn't mean he is playing. Will probably see how he is on the morning of the game to see if he is fit to play.

Yes not sure the new winger will play unless he is 100% fit. Shame about Partington however we should have enough to beat a bang average Cas side without their best forward in Watts.

None of them are 100% fit, it's the second game of the season.
We've only got him for one season and we are short on wingers so I'm 99.9% sure he's gonna start.
I'd feel sorry for hankinson if he's dropped as although cross got the number 5 shirt, he did bugger all last week. Hankinson to start on other wing for me, but I'd be surprised if he got the nod.

How can you be match fit after 1 match?Usually takes about 4-6 matches before all the teams get up to speed. That's why you usually see some weird results early on as some teams are at different points in their fitness than others.

Today is the the day we need a win, this Cas team are bang average, for most of last season we were poor at home. Today needs to be the day our attacks goes through the gears and we put a few scores on the board. If we cannot beat this Cas team then its going to be a very long season. I'm confident we can win this one as long as King does not get sent off, but like with Hull who knows what utterly stupid decisions will be given these days.

I know they are not match fit, neither are any other teams, But we should be as physically fit as any team in the league.

Surely we haven't got any of Mrs Moore's brude, son Liam did what he could for the pie eaters especially with the last try.
