Does anyone know if the council have an agreement in principal with Peel about buying their half, or is the vote to proceed just the first step before hard negotiations take place?

Local rules mean DHs like Garrido can cause all sorts of problems, and you also have to add in the new New Labour Party which was seperated at birth from the old Old Tory Party!
We live in hope though!
"Then raise the scarlet standard high. Within its shade we'll live and die, Though Tories flinch and Garridos sneer, We'll keep the red flag flying here."

Politically the sale should go through without many issues. The problem, I fear, has always been with the council officers but seeing we’re at the vote stage now I can’t see any major hurdles to jump over

Peel are doing us no favours and require numerous guarantees from the council. The general consensus within Peel is that the deal will be killed by red tape. The real problem seems to be a growing number of labour councillors are thinking it is money that could be spent on more pressing issues. I asked the person I know at peel for simple percentage of this happening and he said around 30%, but Peel change their stance like the wind.
I reckon hold our nerve and keep the faith. Good things will happen eventually.
