This one is on a Sunday and we need a miracle to win without King, Partington and Watkins, not sure if the club will appeal bans for Partington and Watkins.
We were poor away at Wigan, the crucial test this Sunday is now made even hard missing 3 of our better players.

I’m sure there will be an appeal…only one ban this season I think..Bouroh?…then 3 when we play the chairman’s ex team…and Watkins, reckless??..never

Doesn't matter who it is. If we dont improve our discipline from next week we will get stuffed. Beyond a joke last week how many penalties we gave away last week due to sheer stupidity and poor choices. |

Always matters who the ref is, sadly.
On the whole I do think SRD have to play better but I do think penalties & six agains are generally a one way street.
When I watch games where I have no particular interest in who wins I'm always amazed at when things are not given that should have been and who tends to benefit.

This is now a massive game for us, play like we did against Wigan without a game plan and we will be smashed. I just hope the fans turn up, the crowd v Wakey was a disaster. We are now back playing on a Sunday, I'd expect at least 5.5k v Wire if not more.

Maurice, I don't think there was ever a match where there was "no" game plan.
We've not been on the money far too often and as the Wolves found out it's hard to turn that around.
I also think after the other results that the massive element has gone AWOL for this match. Dead rubber this one.
Hate the fact it's on't telly as well.
Half the problem with SL is the well off clubs don't bring enough of their big followings with them.

We've sold almost 5k tickets for this, Wire will bring at least 1.5k in support. We need to be loud today and support the team. It is on Channel 4 so a chance to reach a new audience. Not sure who will start but I expect Sidlow and Greenwood to figure with players missing. Addy had a shocker against Wigan so will need to be much better than last week. Expect us to compete early on in defence then go to Rowley's game plan run around them. Hope Cross holds his defence up this week, his shooting out the line cost us v Wigan. It will be hot today, need to make Wire forward pack work.

I agree in terms of game plan the only way we win today is settling in first 10-15 mins then running the Wire forwards into the ground. They will be direct and route 1. I reckon Sidlow/Dixon and Greenwood all play some part today. |
