Saints' fans seem pretty awful focusing inwards for the loss and blaming everyone except the kit man. I read an article about RL's reluctance when it comes to social media, and I think the Journo was wrong and RL's correct if that's what people post and how they react. You would imagine they'd been mullered from the responses. I also noticed how anxious they were in the crowd yesterday, you'd have imagined it was them under the cosh and lightyears from their last major trophy outing rather than Leigh. Good |

Think we have really missed a trick this year after coming so close last year no one has stood out and real opportunity to win something this year but we just haven’t quite been there,the challenge cup is only 3 games to Wembley and we had a shot but we’re tame at hull kr and at home in league we have only scored 20 points plus twice all season frustrating really because trophies were there for the taking this year!

As Dixon says, we continually fight above our weight and Rowley doing an amazing job, so with little resource we’ll always expect more than we should…. Pity we can’t get more investment, or use of some of the Crowdfunding money put in by th3 fans to help the develop squad; but no doubt our new super board members will find the way

Pity we can’t get more investment, or use of some of the Crowdfunding money put in by th3 fans to help the develop squad; but no doubt our new super board members will find the way I think calling it crowd funding won't help JJR, and we all know that making it into a community club won't provide monies, and I don't think it was ever meant to.
Are SRD fans expecting more than they should?

The crowdfunding money goes to securing the long term future and is to b spent on the infrastructure of the club to support long term strategies.
Not to be spanked on players for the remainder of season.
I'd want my money back if it was.

Correct LH Red, we’ve not kicked on this year which is very disappointing. In fact we’ve gone backwards to a degree in the past 6 weeks, earlier in the season we were winning games and missing 5-6 players each week. As has been said before our new signings this season have not improved the squad bar Ollie. Teams have also worked out our set moves especially when our runners cut inside. The positive for me this year is the community share scheme being embraced and our new owners getting more fans in. On field we need to improve. JJR calls Rowley a miracle worker but we’ve not won anything or made a final, since 2020. Credit to Leigh they have with a small squad. Salford need to concentrate on competing in the last 8 games. If we make Top 6 great if not get signings in that will take us forward next year, The right signings are Rowleys responsibility. The 2023 season has been our coaches first season of getting his own players in, he had to work with what he had last season. |

MTR with the size of squad we have compared to Hull Huddersfield even Cas and Wakey who are throwing money about like confetti, we are doing well. If you want to take a chance on another Marshall, feel free, I’m sure the Club can find another
I’ll fully judge Rowley when he has the resource…but for me, I enjoy the rugby, I’m happy to look up the table rather than down and I admire his attitude.
Leigh have done fantastically well, but without the string of injuries we’ve had this year and they’ve binned their Second Team
In the end it’s all about resource and if the Club are going to generate funds via the fans investment, rather than paying off debts, then we can now sit back and watch the money grow…they’ve got our money, we’re not at ML, so watch this space and then we’ll have investment in the Team….appar3ntly, so nothing to worry about.

You say it's Rowley's responsibility,Rowley could say to Mr King they have said on Devil Talk it's my responsibility to get the right players in.Rowley says to Mr King I have got what I think are the right players,Mr King says we can't afford them. Rowley says well you had better get on the forum and tell them Now I always thought Paul Rowley got around a Rugby pitch quite well,but I never thought he could walk on water. |

It seems that we have no money, we have debts/ loans, few staff but the Club has raised money from the fans again
The Club seem to have decided to invest some money in staff, perhaps pay off some of the loans…City Council?…but we can’t invest in players…Quota spot still free etc
Somehow because of good stuff on the field and a great team spirit, our expectations are above our playing resource, but because of injuries and some dubious decisions in the last two matches, we’re not where some falsely expect us to be.
My fear is that we lose the coaching staff if they get fed up of working without resource because in my view, as Dixon has alluded, we really do punch well above our weight…another Marshall would have been the disaster this year…or any year
We’re going to have to settle with the team we have this year, enjoy the matches, and wait for the investment in staff and the new dynamic board members to create the resource for Rowley to get the job done…undoubtedly the coaching staff have the ability but….can the Club generate the resource….time will tell
