That Gerrard injury really hurts us. I hope Sidlow is back otherwise we'll be super light against Warrington. What's Greenwoods contract situation? I hope it's up this year. Nothing against him as a player but Salford can't afford players with such limited availability as out squad is small. I assume Sarge moves on this year too and I imagine he's on a decent wage. I hope he's okay. All we've heard is that he's ill and there is no timeframe. When I heard that I think either something serious physically, like cancer, or mentally with depression. I’m hearing that Sarge is in dispute with the club and is refusing to play .For his sake I much prefer that scenario to your suggestion of cancer or depression !! |

I hope so. I'd rather not be told he's ill though because to me, ill with no timeline suggests something serious and private. Just say he has a long-term ongoing injury.

Assume Sidlow will start against Wire - Longstaff may get a run out. Not sure why we played Gerrard v KR if he was not right, we're now down to four fit Props which is a massive challenge given we have at least four needed every game.

After KR I'd go with the following v Wire (assuming Sidlow is fit):
Brierley
Sio
Cross
Lafai
Burgess
Croft
Syned
Sidlow
Ackers
Olymondroyd
Watkins
Wright
Partington
Subs - Dupree / King / Longstaff or Stone / Atkin
To be fair this is not far off our best starting 17, only Gerrard would be in the 17.

KR only had 300 last week if that. Looking at the Wire win at Hudds, their forwards look decent but Wire were vulnerable out wide. |
