So what’s our long term ambition?

world domination, animal rights, and cheap beer.
Sorry but I do not think Rugby League has the luxury of "long-term" unless we get our act together quickly. By that I do not mean Saints, Wigan and Leeds keeping their safety at the cost of other clubs. I am sure that we will be discarded out of Super League to protect their income.

Every good business has a long term plan. Yes. And every good business has a fairly secure income stream. Apart from the SL money (and I'm sure that Saints, Wigan and Leeds would love to get their hands on that), we don't have a secure income stream.

Isn’t it the job of the Board to secure the finances to operate the Club? Yes but you need to understand we're not a big draw in RL terms, never mind in sport overall. It's alright saying they need to secure the finances but apart from the "big" SL clubs no-one in SL is a particularly attractive prospect. Let's be honest, 99% of our own city's population don't give a **** about us so why should any big name sponsors? At least teams like HKR & Cas (whilst being shitholes) are able to pull in double our average crowd and they own their own facilities so generate income from that. By the sounds of it, the new Marketing guy we brought in is doing a decent job. I think you need to cut the club some slack. Constantly stating "lack of ambition" is rubbish IMO, it's just not easy to break down walls in RL and I dare say that Paul King & Bleasey probably work far longer hours than either you or I to try and kick the club on to the next level. Will be interesting to see financially how much better off we are when we move to Moor Lane, if we can average 4000ish like we do at the AJ Bell.

Another name I'm going throw into the mix Paul Anderson, had a good stint early on at Hudds when he was in charge there, currently assistant for England and head coach of the Knights

Every good business has a long term plan. You keep chipping away with these daft comments. What do you think the plan and ambition should be?

Isn’t it the job of the Board to secure the finances to operate the Club? JJR The late great Joe Louis always said everyone as a plan,it goes out of the window when they get hit. 👍

"Isn’t it the job of the Board to secure the finances to operate the Club?": last time I checked, the Board had secured finances to survive. Thrive ... they're trying.
It's neither Messrs King's and Blease's fault that, without many of us not requesting season ticket money back a year ago, there would be no Salford RLFC. That is the state of our finances. Again, from the evidence I've seen, they've tries so many ways to increase investment in the club. Again without the success we'd hope for never mind like. That's not their fault.
Just across the Ship Canal are two clubs in which the average wage per week of one of their many tens of players would allow Salford RLFC the luxury of a safe and good season. JJR: go to them and tell them that they can invest in a better sport and see what you can do.

Lee Briers being tipped to be the assistant to Matt Peet at Wigan next season so looks like he’s out of the reckoning.
The report I saw said it’s believed he turned down head coach at Leigh (v sensible in my opinion if true) but doesn’t mention salford

Lets hope we get an announcement soon, the longer this goes on the less likely it seems to be the internal appointment of Rowley.

I can’t believe they’ve let him go without already having secured a replacement. Waiting until after the GF ?
