Would be v odd to me, but then again you never know what’s gone on But you’re right BR nobody has said he’s gone. Was he at the presentation?
And he’s a Salford lad, which is what we seem to be gathering

Nobody really knows the input he had under RM.

For the avoidance of doubt,I was joking. The new coach will want his own man and if it’s Rowley he’d have seen Orr first hand.

Apparently he is still there, Rowley seems favourite and Briers, for some reason at the matches and being mentioned by some in the know.

Heard from an insider that the new coach is going to be a human male from either Britain or Australasia who apparently played rugby league when he was younger before he retired. 100% nailed on to be appointed officially between now and the start of next season. In all seriousness I think we all know who's going to get the job.

There was talk a few weeks back of Briers. A couple of blokes in the toilets in the West Stand were openly talking about him coming in to replace Orr.
The earlier post about Marshall being asked to go part time didn’t really add up to me. A part time Coach with a full time team seems odd and of the hours mentioned about half of those would have been taken up on a matchday.
However, if the club are looking at cutting costs and there was discussion on Marshall’s salary, then the appointment of Rowley makes more sense. He is already on the payroll and stepping upto Coach would likely just require an uplift in his pay.
Will be interesting to see if he combines his current role with that of Coach should he take over.

Cutting the salary of the main man, the coach, seems totally irresponsible and stupid. Cut down the salary of anybody; marketing, accountant, chairman but the man who keeps the money rolling in…the coach, amazing. That is cost cutting/ penny pinching at its worst
People attend matches in bigger numbers when the team is winning.

Money has always been tight. Watto was only on 20K that's why he reluctantly left us for Huddersfield who offered him 22K plus £22.50 a week travel expenses and a £250 super bonus if they win Superleague.

Correct,if it were true but the consensus is that it’s bollocks Club agrees a contract with Marshall on December 1st 2020 and then they are alleged to have tried to change it immediately to part-time during the off season. It makes no sense whatsoever because if money was such an issue the club would have stipulated part-time over the winter months before agreeing the contract. I don't buy it.

"Watto was only on 20K": the coach is on less (a lot less0 than the players he is managing! Possibly true but, if so, we're doomed. I'm (today) still working but expect each layer of bosses above me to be paid more for the responsibility. it does not tie in with my Socialist beliefs but 65+ years has taught me to be realistic.

What do you want, full wages of everyone employed, everything spent by the club? I suppose you preferred Koukashs technique of not paying anyone?

No agenda, just a simple observation. I don’t understand what you’re defending.
I’ve no idea what Koukash or anybody else does with the money, so I can’t comment. But there are always rumours about money and the Club asks us for funds. I was just wondering it was spent.
