We are likely to have two more banned for the next game away at HKR, as well as the three injuries. Anyone got any boots?

Cas 6 Leeds 60
Cas had virtually a full strength team and were never down to 11 men.

Cas fans seething
`Can’t see Powell walking, but it’s hard to get past the fact that it’s only the second time in 95 years that we’ve conceded 60 points at home`.

Let’s start with the positives: I didn’t have any problems getting off the car park last night, though that might have had something to do with the fact that when I got home I still had time to sit down, turn the TV on and hear our Coach give his views on the “performance” live on Sky
Now the mitigation: We had 10 players out injured, we had a further 2 players missing suspended We’ve played 3 games in 10 days against the likely top 3 come the end of the season Warrington spend 2½ times as much on player salaries as we do
Now the negatives Both sin binned players were lucky not to be sent off for their “tackles”, I expect a minimum 2-3 game ban for both come next Tuesday More injuries sustained Warrington’s first choice hooker spent the entire match warming the subs bench The lesser spotted Burgess who “might play against Wigan but will definitely line up against Warrington” was again nowhere to be seen Pack was annihilated in every aspect of the game, no go forward whatsoever, no platform for the backs, tackling abysmal Our two second row forwards played 80 minutes each, neither contributed anything to the game other than numerus missed tackles Our best forward was one making his debut who has been loaned out to Swinton for the last month Backs taking the ball up to the line more of often than the forwards Our defence was passive, stood flat footed waiting for the opposition to come us rather than visa versa Halfbacks anonymous behind a beaten pack Our substitute half back spending more time chatting on the touchline to the Warrington players than he did warming up
The future requirements: Return of injured players Discipline Commitment to the cause and pride in the shirt Players actually making an effort Guile in attack and organisation on the pitch
And finally: Plenty of criticism on here for our Coach, I’m not going to say it’s not warranted and for one I think he’s until recently played the wrong player at full back as an example but he has been dealt a difficult starting fixture list and a very disruptive list of injuries and suspensions that would have challenged any coach. Our views of his ability might well have been startlingly different had the touch judge spotted that Manfredi was in touch last Saturday in the build up to the equalising try How do you think he himself feels right now having spent the last 2 years as assistant to the Grand Final winners? At least we’re not supporting Castleford!

A fair and balanced post there, rickthered. I feel very much in the same way. Yes we have challenges in the injury list (so does everyone else though) and a brutal fixture list means we've been on the back foot from the start. But it doesn't excuse the strange selection choices and the fact that we look like a side that turns up for training and does a few weight sessions and play a game of touch, rather than a fully commited pro RL side.
The players don't get to let RM take all the shite either. A lot of them have been sub-standard for SL so far and a few are living off reputation. RM needs to find a solution to why the teams defensive efforts mirror those of an under twelves side at the moment. Easily the worst defensive Salford team I've seen with regards to effort, ability, and teamwork. If this is RM's speciality I'd hate to see the areas he admits to being rubbish at.
Our attack is all over the place. It looks unstructured, which is a big surprise in todays game. If it is structured, but we're not executing it correctly then he needs to sort it quick smart.
The coaching staff and players have had their bedding-in period. We need to be scrutinizing them at this point, and it does us no good as fans to be using the excuses I've heard us all use. If we want to compete we need to not slip into the old Salford mentality of success as being able to stay in SL or a good performance being to get beat by under thirty points.

Absolutely BR Wigan full of internationals with nearly a full team and playing with 13 men all match ( until Hardacre became a peevish child with a couple of minutes to go) and didn't have an extra 3 injured players, didn't score against Catalan. Salford scored 18 against Warrington
Catalan 48 Wigan 0
And two good tries disallowed, inc a Child's forward pass
Note to Hardacre: don't nut somebody when his big brother is stood next to you with his fists clenched
Well RM I'll support you, for many reasons
