Am looking forward to either burgess, luckley or aspey playing this one. Would love to see the young lad given a go, but think he maybe one to drop out Connor is too good for Academy level now and needs to be getting regular 1st team experience somewhere. Looks like he's bulked up a fair bit since he broke into the squad a couple of seasons back so whether that's here or in the championship is to be seen. Don't want him going the way of Hood, Brining, Owen who all seemed decent prospects and have ended up playing at championship level (ok Hood is at Leigh but let's be honest they'll be heading straight back to where they came from come Septemberš). Seen nothing of Luckley at all and don't think he played a huge amount when out on loan so he's got to be rusty. Who's the last forward we brought in from the Championship/C1 who was any good for us? The likes of Menzies & Forster a few years back were definitely not SL standard and can only recall us bringing in cast-offs from other SL teams tbh. |

Not seen enough of him to know if heāll cut it but plenty of time for him to develop. I think players mostly find their right level eventually

Yes,sometimes players who we think will become world beaters ultimately donāt make it to the very top,whether itās due to attitude,injury or simply failure to train on.
Many examples.
The opposite is also true.
Saw Sneyd play for us at Cas,debut I think, and he looked clueless. Even Olpherts has exceeded expectations.

He played for the college team last week which seems like a really strange decision at his age to be playing against 16 and 17 year olds. Not seen enough of him to know if heāll cut it but plenty of time for him to develop. I think players mostly find their right level eventually Saw him on Our League v Widnes and he acquitted himself very well. Long minutes too. |

I would start Taylor at Hooker tonight with Atkin coming off the bench. We have enough cover at 13. Big chance for Patton to step up also at 7, gutted Pauli is missing he makes decent yards against the better teams.

Be good to have a look at Luckley and to see if Lussick can last 25 min
