Red Dave, your views are a mirror image of mine, that was possibly one of the worst performances from a Salford team that I have ever seen an d as you say at once stage one more score from us and we were back in the game. I actually for the first time ever left early, as I couldn’t stand it any longer.

Our only organiser is Brown and injured Accepting that Brown is an organiser, even though that has been debatable so far, it's a massive oversight for a club to have just the one don't you think? Add to that that the player in question is getting on and injury prone, it begs the question, why didn't the club think about that at some point before the season started? Let's be fair as well, Brown in that side yesterday would have made zero difference to the outcome, and that is not meant as a slight on Brown, more a comment on the state of the team in general.

I don't think if Widdop would have changed sides it would have made much difference.
I think they signed Addy as a leader but not seen enough of him to comment.
Just looking at Oz rugby with junior teams second teams and club structures. Everyone knows what's going to happen within the Club from an early age. We've collected a range of people from different teams, brought in a new coach, had horrendous injuries, few suspensions, had about 8 different people in the spine, never the same twice, and yesterday had no hooker. So let's hope we've hit the bottom and on the way up. The positive yesterday was that the majority of players never gave up

You can go on about organisers that wasn't the pro problem last night. We were playing Rugby tick, their was no togetherness,no plan I have said this before on this forum, that it looked like they had all met up for the first time.I did not see any all for one, one for all.I don't like saying this but last night was one of the worse performances I have seen in 65 years. It was that bad.

I have to agree. It's not the scorline, it's the manner that the team went about their business. Thirteen individuals running around like an under 12's side but with less commitment in defence than under 12's. We're all to familiar with hammerings being a Salford supporter but yesterday's defeat was one of the worst due to the way the team lost it, rather than the result. Very worrying.

What I don’t understand and can’t accept , last week we took Wigan to the Wire and this week Wire took us to the cleaners, just watched this mornings NRL match, we are light years away, 1-17 in both teams gave 100%, unfortunately and sadly Salford are fast becoming a Joke.

The concern for me is when you see several players hobbling around when things are going very badly. Up to last night I couldn’t fault the effort but I suppose losing every week after a big shift must be demoralising and draining. I feel we are now at an extremely critical point and I view it as a sink or swim situation.

All eyes on HKR v Leigh now. Not commenting on the match as so much I could moan about … we need a general.

Lets face it , it was garbage. we did this some years back got a lot of average players from various clubs to bolster the squad at the end of the season we were relegated. at the moment we have tui, williams , burke ,Taylor, Livett and sio. The other players are fringe players that are top of championship bottom of super league standard, Lannon and Addy are penalty machines. Some of the senior players of super league standards seem to be getting injured rather easily, is this a training problem or are they just hanging on getting there money as the investments they have in coffee shops and health shops that wage has come to a trickle due to covid, are well just play one more season do as little as poss get injured or banned regularly and play very little but it will pay the mortgage until the pandemic is over. Or are they unfit, no longer capable of the rigours of super league. As for the coach we cant afford to sack him, if we did where would that get us? Lets see if he can turn it around.

I just feel we need to bring some new blood in to lift the morale of the team. If that means shipping a few out to make way I think it has to be considered. Perhaps there’s a couple of decent loan signings we could make. Good players who want to play but aren’t getting enough game time at other clubs. Surely we can find another hooker from somewhere?

Last night apart which was dreadful we’ve been competitive and worked hard but have just lacked the guile to open teams up. The biggest problem for me is the hooker position where we only have one and he’s never on the field.

It's worth remembering we had a large chunk of our probable first 13 out, and regardless of what you say any team would lack coherency with so many missing.
What worrys me is the intense speedy attack where we worked the ball out wide to our centres and wingers (under iw), has gone. We seem to want to trundle up the middle and maybe on the 4th play have a whirl at giving the ball some air. It's predictable and easy to defend. When we did work it out wide we made some decent meters but it wasn't done enough and instead we have average props who when they get the ball have defenders in their face just 5 yards away because of this farcical offside rule.
That brings me to 16 missed tackles in the 1sr half not to mention getting caught a man light on the short side that lead to a try because of bad organisation. Hate to say it lads but this team look a beaten bunch before they start. Need bodies back and quick.

Good job we didn't beat Cas in the Cup. RM states we'd struggle to get a team out; 3 more injuries last night.
The one positive is that we played a side who are flying, yet another top 6 side, that, at this stage, we weren't expected to beat.
