We are above Huddersfield. Maybe not the most ambitious target, but good enough for me at this stage of the season.

I don't agree about season tickets, but if you can't express an opinion on what you are seeing, then we might as well close the forum down Surely that is what the forum is for expressing an opinion because of all the opinions expressed on this forum, who is to say which are right or wrong,or somewhere in the middle.I will say as of now I am a little disappointed with what I have seen, rightly or wrongly that is my opinion and I am having it.Others can disagree and I would fight for you to have that opinion, its what makes forums go round opinions.

Well a poor match but 2 Pts is better than losing in a good match. So progress. It's a team game and only match 4 My main concern is our defensive line, it seems to stroll up and sits on the back foot, whereas Leigh were on their toes and only got penalised only once for it. Positives: Brown is obviously near full fitness and played as we know he can: ran the game Forwards are coming together even without Taylor; the underrated Burke is back and I think Lussick as he gets fitter will be a handful. Ika and Mossop good front row Hooker Patten, not spectacular but massive no of tackles in his 45. Atkin a sound replacement for Ackers. Greenwood Roberts Pauli Livett, good 2nd row options and Ormondroyd is a SL player. We were without an international backline inc a fullback and then lost another Centre and we're forming a new spine.
The enigma to me is Tui. He should be scoring the tries Brown did, he should be backing up the breaks we had as Rob zlui did. Not sure what he's up to.
Still off the bottom, more Pts than same time last year and how about pairing Livett and Burgess when he returns?

Was out last night so just watched it back, we were garbage for around 60 mins but still got the result. Thought Greenwood was our best forward and Kear has made full back his own, two fantastic breaks and looks assured. A couple of try's were very good however we still looked slow in defending. Marshall needs to get more out of this team when in defence. Still however bad it was in the first half, a win is a win so onto next week.

Can't fault the effort and it's a vital first win that will hopefully help build some spirit and confidence. With so many new players and new coaches It's understandable that we are still lacking any real cohesion in attack. A couple of strange team selections again by Richard Marshall picking players out of position. Kear at fullback over Escare who I believe offers more pace and positional sense to back up any line breaks and Inu at Centre who lacks the pace to defend on both his inside and outside. Wing is by far Inu's best position but I guess the change was forced with Sarginson and Watkins missing although he could have played Kear at centre or perhaps Livett. We just have to keep improving and Marshall needs to work out quickly what his best team is.

Looks like Escaré is toast and Kear was fine at full back. Agree Inu should ideally be on the wing which would be bad news for Williams, who’s been fine but slightly less impressive than last year. I’d give Livett a run in the centre but wonder whether he’d be agile enough defensively if faced with a pacy opponent. Marshall trying a few things at the moment which is ok,provided we see continuous improvement

If Escaré's face doesn't fit with Marshall we need to try our best to get him off the pay role and replace him because we can't afford to be carrying any passengers at this club. Kear isn't the answer at FB in my opinion despite making a couple of breaks against a heavy legged Leigh outfit. I view Kear simply as a handy squad player because he's versatile and can cover a number of positions if we get injuries in the backs.

We have one player, at last, in the Team of the Week, which contains SL and NRL players. Amazingly Inu, getting better but never a centre and surely those missed tackles not taken into account Hopefully he's regaining last year's form.

Inu is amazing at taking a pass near the line and having the brut strength to force his way over with defenders often unable to stop him. His goal kicking is also priceless. Never a centre though at Superleague level, too slow.
