He's even come out in the last 72 hrs saying we've come through this better than most in SL.
I smell a rat, a giant stinking rat somewhere.
The Rats name is not Roland its Money.

I have zero problem with him going for the money, none at all. Obviously,I’d like to thank him for what he’s done and, sorry, but I hope he fails. Take the money and pay the price. Wrong move by him

Wrong move by him Bonitared Watson as been here in a coaching capacity sine 2014,the club as been here a bit longer. The thing that I find irksome is did he know he was going while doing the promoting of us.

What would we have wanted him to do? Say ‘don’t bother getting a season ticket cos I’m off’?
Whenever I’ve been looking for/being offered another job I’ve always continued to do my best for my current employer. Cos that’s what I’m being paid to do.
Watto is nothing if not a professional and it is right that he did his best for salford until the moment they stopped paying him. I’d be very surprised if anyone could point to any example of Watto not trying to do his best for the club and the players
We might not want him to be successful at Huddersfield but I think we have to be massively grateful for everything he’s done for us

We need to get his departure out of our system and move on. I thought it was a great statement from Bleasey and OUR club looks in recent shape.
So, start renewing season tickets, donate to the squad builder initiative if you can and show the support for OUR club to move forward.

Even though I’m still baffled and annoyed this has incentivised me even more to get our season tickets renewed early. Help to get the numbers high early on and it will give the club and staff a huge boost when I’m sure they’re feeling quite down about things themselves deep down.

Yes,that wasn’t great but,as has been said,he might not have decided by then,so he had to promote. Talking of irksome,I’ve just returned home and opened my Wembley Mug. The Watto’s Army bit made me smile ! Still a moment in our history for which he deserves our great appreciation

It is being said that being able to work with a full salary cap and a wealthy owner has been the draw for Ian. But where have Huddersfield gone in the last ten years to support this. A League leaders shield and a Challenge Cup Final and numerous coaches Not much for all the so called investment

I don't buy the money argument. Getting to 2 major finals has created so much goodwill for him that he pretty much had a job for life at Salford. Now he has to start from scratch and is instantly more vulnerable.
I'd understand if it was a chance of a lifetime to go to a big club. I'd also understand if he had respected his contract and then gone somewhere else. But to walk out on his hometown club, a club who gave him his break as player and as a coach, to go to some also-rans is very very disappointing.

Watson is a working bloke. If someone has come in and offered him a shedload of money, then he’s fine to take it. No problem, most of us would’ve done the same in our jobs,so why is this different ? BUT,when you take the big money, the rules change so we’ll see what happens
As regards his contract,if it had a release clause at a pre set amount,as has been reported, then he has respected his contract

Whilst shocked he left so suddenly - he was going to leave one day. To think of where we were when he took over to where we are now - he's done a fantastic job changing the culture of the club and deserves a good reception (like we give Hastings)
