Hope Watto realise us Salford fans don’t forget. Myler is still getting stick 10 yrs on. Huddersfield home and especially away will be interesting next year. Just hope there are fans able to be there. Never ever do the dirty on Salford fans. I cant see myself booing Ian, Not until the reason behind his departure is confirmed. Whilst shocked he left so suddenly - he was going to leave one day. To think of where we were when he took over to where we are now - he's done a fantastic job changing the culture of the club and deserves a good reception (like we give Hastings) All depends on why he left. It's all breakneck and doesn't make much sense. Like Evalds leaving I think there might be a different narrative still to come.

It’s always about the money. The narrative from Watson will be that it wasn’t about the money. Again,it always is. No problem with him taking the money. The reception won’t depend on the reason,it’ll be whether he tries to take players too

I can’t imagine why anyone would boo Watson. Salford fans need to give their heads a wobble at times. He has transformed our club and we should be grateful. Doesn’t mean we want Huddersfield to do better than us and we might even enjoy it if they fail but I still wish him well because he has been 100% committed to salford all the time he’s been here
It’s a job. If Huddersfield have offered him a lot more pay to do a job in an environment where they spend more on players and have a high quality academy why would he be criticised for taking it?
I don’t understand people who fawn all over Hastings on Twitter, begging him to come back and then calling Watson a snake and much worse on there
I’m gutted Watto is leaving. But I don’t blame him for doing things he thinks he needs to build his career. A disappointing season with salford next year and his market value drops and the opportunities diminish

BR it maybe in part about the money but there's always the way he was valued. Are the promises made to him the often pie in the sky ideas, was his salary contract improved due to what he's achieved, do the Club realise his value? Lots of questions From what I've seen of him he's a straight guy, ask his players and people who know him. The way he left seems to me to think something else was involved. But, as usual we'll never fully know why our most prized asset, at the moment, left.

He will have more money, but that brings more pressure.I definitely think he will have to it the ground running, then again he could fall flat on is face. We will find out,but I wish him well

I’m not criticising him. His stock is very high and he wants to take advantage of that, before it inevitably reduces. But I also think good things of Blease,so I don’t believe the club has given him pie in the Sky ideas, and his contract will have been improved. My belief is that Huddersfield have thrown a big contract at him and that’s the main reason he’s gone. I probably would’ve done the same !

Blease doesn't run the Club, he's an employee. He gets the players, presumably links with the RL and SL. So doesn't make decisions on his mate Wattos future I find the events of last week unWattolike. He's a straight guy said he wanted to stay, then on all the ads for season tickets and more positive messages Then suddenly gone Just doesn't add up to me Too much out of character. If he'd planned to go he wouldn't have done it that way he has too much respect for the supporters

Dixon - I agree. He’s taking a risk and it could go horribly wrong for him. That’s the gamble and why, for us, it’s harder to take or understand why he’d leave us for what feels like a risky option.
I suspect to him it’s a stepping stone. He needs to prove he can manage a more ‘normal’ set up than at Salford. The differences where they are paying full cap. Managing a bigger back room team. Overseeing transition from academy to first team. If he wants a job at Saints, Wigan or the NRL he will have to show he can do all those things.
At Salford because of the smaller coaching/back room team he will do all kinds of things that other head coaches don’t do. He will have learned loads from that but he will learn other things at Huddersfield with less pressure than at one the ‘big 4’.
Of course his job will be easier in many ways because he will have more people to delegate to and maybe he’s looking forward to that too.
I don’t want to see him fail because I think he’s a good bloke and we owe him a lot. I would have been much happier if he’d seen out the rest of his contract. But then we would have missed out on a compensation payment. But I don’t want Huddersfield to do better than us so there will be no sentiment when we play them, just like there isn’t against ex-players.
