Watto was a bit critical in is interview, after the game. In my opinion it's not a good time to be interviewed I know they have do it to please the TV. If I had done the interview,I would have been a little critical of our kicking game,is their any other thoughts now you have had time to think.

No criticism whatsoever. Both teams played as well as the other let them, and that goes for the kicking games which were pressurised. A game of fractions. Their conversion off the upright, their try where he nearly trod on the line, the Inu missed conversion and,of course, the Pauli Pauli penalty. Our team was immense

Our team was immense Yeah I agree, great game and no qualms to be honest ( the penalty at the end was one of a 1000 potential things which affected the result so no issue with that) Right team selection and performance. Thought the ref had a good game to and helped make it a good game letting it flow (pay attention Mr Child’s). Halves cancelled each other out and thought Myler derserved MOM. Great advert for the game and for any latent Salford fans to get back involved and watch the team again 👍 We’re definitely rising

A coach assesses where those "fractions" are to work on in training and Watto diid that at a time when, like all of us, he knew winning was well within our grasp and was hurting.
Unfortunately one of the biggest drawback to RL is it's never really been a game for the underdog and it's almost impossible to equalise it on the pitch. (This is not about yesterday by the way) But it is why the trophies have the same names on them throughout the history of the sport.
But to quote someone never too far away "Our team was immense " and the main reason for that is even when margins and dominance are against this team they frighten the opposition and never leave them feeling comfortable.

So with back to back finals under his belt what are Watto's options for his future ? I hope and think he'll see out his contract with us. He wants to steer his hometown club to silverware. You'd think players will want to come and play under him now as well. Once his contract is up ( is that end of 2022?) then it's anyone's guess. With the right investor then I think Paul King is correct in his assessment that we could dominate, or at least challenge, for the next 10 years, perhaps Watto could create a Fergie-esq style legacy. But we need that investment, so you'd hope with the two finals now we're on the radar for the right reasons.

It’s very likely I’m way off with this, but, I’ve had a feeling we’ve got an investment from somewhere, possibly someone putting money in quietly, for a little while. We’ve managed to sign some pretty high profile players while we’ve had minimum income, Watkins can’t be cheap, Burgess next year will be on decent money, perhaps it’s a hangover from last seasons success but we seem to be doing “ok”. There was no desperation with this lockdown, no begging for money, in his interviews Paul King always seemed comfortable with it. Like I say probably way off, just a feeling

The job of coach at the top clubs is just keeping everything on track in comparison, and that's not to make it sound like it's easy. It's just that winning something with them or being in the mix is a far easier job when there's backing money and you can more or less fill any position from the transfer market. Add their attraction for the better young players with their ability to offer them more and it's hardly surprising they're always thereabout.

Waiting for people to say MK🤬 I think it’s Morson putting money in. Only a guess but how can Watkins Burgess and Sargison have come to us otherwise. Long may it continue if that is the case

Wasn’t from a very reliable source btw.

I'm really glad we have Watto for all sorts of reasons but if we were one of the top sides, who'd just won the CC and were on a roll he's very unlikely to come out with stuff like this
"Penalised’ Leeds Rhinos face ‘significant’ challenges says Richard Agar WINNING AT Wembley has made qualifying for the Betfred Super League play-offs “significantly” more challenging, Leeds Rhinos boss Richard Agar says."
Clubs like Leeds don't know what significant challenges are, though they may have passed some on a bus once.

From Johnny Davidson on rugbyleaguehub.com
Exclusive: Hull FC are closing in on a new coach for the 2021 season.
Rugbyleaguehub.com Long Reads understands the Black & Whites want Salford Red Devils coach Ian Watson to take over at the KCOM Stadium next year.
It is believed Hull FC have made a big money offer for Watson, who is contracted to Salford until 2022, but who has a buyout clause in his contract.
Watson confirmed that Hull FC are interested in him, but denied any knowledge of a sizeable money offer made to the Red Devils, when contacted by Rugbyleaguehub.com Long Reads today.
"I've not been told anything like that, just that there is an interest, but nothing concrete or anything further has happened," the 43-year-old said.
He is regarded as one of the best coaches in Super League, after getting Salford into this year's Challenge Cup final and last year's grand final.
In January this year Watson signed a contract extension with the Red Devils.
At the time he said: "I'm ambitious and I want to win things.
"To do that, you've got to build foundations and have them in place. The club are showing that they want to go in that direction."
Watson took over permanently at the AJ Bell Stadium in 2015.
The club's director of rugby & operations Ian Blease, and director Paul King, had both not responded for requests for comment when contacted by Rugbyleaguehub.com Long Reads today.
Hull FC had also not responded when approached for comment by the time of writing.
The Black & Whites sacked head coach Lee Radford in March.
His assistant, Andy Last, has been in charge of the east Yorkshire club since then.
Last has won six out of 11 games since he took over.
Hull FC are currently in sixth place on the Super League ladder.

FFS. Hopefully the ordeal of driving there every day or potentially relocating will put him off.
