The promises were made by King that they were going to align to Wattos ambitions and get a star player. I was wondering what they were. Think the Board should be more than administrators though. Seems crucial now.
I think the work of Blease alongside Watto has also to be recognised in getting those players in; he seems a shrewd cookie to me.

King keeps saying he's going to support Watto in his plans, and that he wants a star player, so was wondering what the Board doing or is it just talk? They can't just keep begging off the fans as seems to be happening with every web site post. Que sera sera. Just hope there is a real plan. No he doesn’t. He is always dead straight. He says he would like to do that but without a couple of thousand more regular fans and/or an owner with deep pockets that it can’t happen. They have plans and are doing more to attract commercial sponsorship and community links than for the last 20 years But they can’t force people to turn up or to buy the club. Paul king is not a rich man. He’s put his house on the line to back the club. What more do you want from him?

Watson will leave eventually. I’d like to see him do a Fergie but I can’t see it unless we get a backer. He has to look after himself and his family and if he gets a big money offer I don’t think anyone could blame him for taking it. Hull would be disappointing but he’d know he could get to spend full cap plus marquee there abd could build a genuine dynasty there. We have Rowley who could step up. I hope he’s learned about the dirty tactics while he’s been under Watto. Rowley is no Watson but he has been a key part over the last 15 months. Kev Brown will surely become an assistant coach somewhere when he retires I think Watto would want to take Greg Brown with him which would be a massive blow. King, Blease et al have turned this club around so I’d trust them to make the right calls and keep building But hopefully it’s all just BS rumours and Watto will stay

The promises have been made to Watto by the Club. Be interesting to see, as a Community Club what the Clubs plans are, as mostly what we seem to see is the Club asking the supporters in one way or another for funds. And be good to see whatever they are come to fruition.
If the Club has been made a big offer I hope they realise the negative balance of short term cash versus long term security with giving Watto what he's now been promised
Think it was said the Watto eventually wants to go to Oz. Is his brother there? As a top coach with ambition I agree with you RuB I think he will eventually go but I hope it's because of ambition not because of unfulfilled promises or taking offered cash by another Club
Rowley to me is a really impressive guy. His stories about his time with both Leigh and Toronto are worth listening to. He seems sound, balanced, totally enthusiastic, knowledgable and v able in terms of RFL and coaching and in my limited view I think we're v fortunate to have him. Would make a great Salford coach if Watto eventually leaves.

I don’t think that his own salary will be the reason he eventually goes. In the scheme of things, that’s handleable by the club. It’ll be ambition and the ability to spend more on players. In football, that hasn’t worked for some coaches. I agree the we’re lucky to have Rowley in position. He wants a Head Coach rôle so he won’t be following Watson in the unlikely event that he leaves. The club has asked the supporters for cash, that’ll be because we are a community club without benefactor, but I’m not sure what else the club could’ve done re signings. We’ve signed some very good players in the last couple of seasons

This might be controversial but I don't see Watson being as successful at another club.
Think his thing is finding rough diamonds and polishing them rather than getting a squad full of stars who need lots of managing.

Ultimately I think he will succeed but maybe not at Hull

The plot thickens
Pearson was reluctant to speculate on who will be coaching Hull next season, despite the club having been linked in the media with Salford coach Ian Watson.
“There won’t be any appointment in the near future,” said Pearson.
“My priority at the moment is to get us through to the start of next season, whenever that is.”

Would you trust Pearson though?
To sack your coach pretty much live on TV is as low a moment in RL as I've ever seen.

According to the rumour squads in Hull it’s a done deal. If that's is the case I hope it is confirmed, one way or another.City fans I speak to are having the same conversation. As for Hull they have had few coaches with the current owner, they have spent money not alot to show for it Grand Final wise.

According to the rumour squads in Hull it’s a done deal. One guy has said that, others referring to Powell and Smith. Also suggesting that the buy out clause states £100,000,which Hull will recoup by transferring Josh Jones to Warrington

As Mike Tyson said, everybody has a plan until they’re thumped on the nose, which is where we are. Not sure what you’re expecting Paul King to do. They’re not money men, just administrators for a community club with no money. Certainly they could pay Watson top dollar but that wouldn’t extend to expensive new signings. Personally,I think they’ve worked wonders and ,in signing,Sarge,Watkins,Burgess and Brown, have demonstrated that they’re not just talk I can't see Watto going to Hull, someone in God's country yes, not Hull. I remember talking Shaun McRae when he went to Hull,at the time he lived in Broughton he told me he spent 3 days in Hull the rest here I can't see Watto comuting and I can't see him moving there.
