A slightly improved kicking game in the first half, and we'd have probably won it. The territory that we gave Leeds in the whole first half was too much to recover from. It sapped our energy and morale. Hats-off to Leeds and Agar for getting it tactically spot on, and Gale for putting it into practice. Thought Brown and Tui were a bit disjointed, probably because of that first half. Thought Watkins was decent, Evalds and both wingers. It was a tough day for our forwards and were literally playing uphill for the most part. So a big well done to them for sticking at it.
Proud of the club.
Remember, don't think of it as disappointment, think of it as the stepping-stone for better things to come.

Totally agree Carnster BUT my gripe is with the RL
Final last year, first time for Kendall, under pressure from Saints after the Hick missed try at the Cup Final, let's face it he lost it and was so poor on the GB tour was replaced Final this year, 25 year old reffing his first really big game , youngest ever. The PP ptb to me was ridiculous and in the first half Leeds pressing no offsides. Overall not bad but Lui two obstructions on high kicks etc, not seen In Finals the RL has to put out its best and the best is no doubt Thaler, even Hick. When we have Thaler we seem to have a level playing field, he won't be intimidated.
Oz refs are far superior obviously but I watched the Exeter RU Final yesterday and they used the video ref watching for offsides, foul play, obstructions etc. They are way ahead of us. We have a video ref, why not use him.
Not picking on refs, I'll always support them but young inexperienced refs in finals, wrong, not making full use of the video ref, why!? The RL to me in this respect are incompetent, it's as tho the ref doesn't matter. But that's the first essential ingredient of a final. Best experienced ref.

JJR I will differ, its not the best experienced ref. Its the ref doing the right thing. All the play the balls in that game at least 75% were incorrect, yet he waits until the last quarter and the scores level to do something about it.If that happens the other way he doesn't give it.I sure Ian Watson thinks the same.

My point is Dixon that an experienced ref knows where to draw the line in most things, and knows when crucial parts of the game are; this ref is obviously still learning. Absolutely crucial moment of the game, you just don't do that. You don't give yourself a chance to make an error, In my view he had the final say on the game by a bad decision.

The funny thing is , before the PP incident, Agar stated that he thought his team had gone; must agree with him But that's it, done it to death. Look forward to Wigan Friday. Good job it's not Cas as the weather looks a big cooler and Powell would call it off.

Have a look at the last Salford move of the match Inu just half a yard off the pace, then turns inside, wrong option; so near

We all need to stop thinking of ifs buts and maybes. I kept doing this yesterday and it does not help. Just be thankful Salford got there and we are now saying next time rather than if. We’ve all come a long way in a short time and I for one am thoroughly enjoying it.

I found the voting in the Lance Todd very dispropotionate, no doubting who was MOM but by that huge a margin. IMO it shows the press are as rubbish as me at spotting how the game works.

Most certainly enjoying it! Looking forward to Friday now

Just watched it back, Liam Moore was worse then I thought, not just the play of the ball. Myler breaks up the field he blocks off Seb Ika in the first half from making a tackle. Inu blocked off by Lui on kicks and half our team appeal. Legally drag Martyn out? That is poor a standard of ref.
