Yes was a penalty to Salford But surprisingly never any offsides against Leeds, which in the way Leeming played the line was amazing
I thought with a bit more steadiness in their 25 we'd have done it. We seemed to go for the glory ball all the time
But v v proud

Proud, gutted, thought we had that. Easy to pick faults but all those who made errors also did well, so for me I won’t be pointing fingers. Overwhelmingly gutted

Properly upset about that loss. Tougher than the grand final loss. Can’t fault the effort. Not quite smart or lucky enough but we could easily have won that. Let’s hope there’s another final soon and that we make it 3rd time lucky

Agree about the luck but not about smartness. Rub of the green. No real complaints, the PP call could’ve gone either way but it was the defining moment, for me. We’ve gone to Wembley and played a strong Leeds team. We gave our all, left nothing on the pitch and every single one of them pulled out their tripes. I’m seriously upset but there was one point in it,and we lost. What a group of players !

One of the real tragedies is that Williams’ try probably won’t now get the praise it deserves. It has to be one of the greatest every challenge cup final tries but ones scored for losing teams don’t get remembered as much as those by winning teams

Definitely. There were some huge performances out there It wasn’t that long ago when we were targeting certain ex players as not being fit to wear the shirt Not any more Tremendous to a man Seems unfair to single anyone out for exceptional performance They were all that good

I’m seriously upset but there was one point in it,and we lost. What a group of players ! I congratulate Leeds but rub of the green, luck, poor calls, call it what you want. Our team deserved victory today. The Pauli Pauli penalty was a very poor call.No referee walking wants to give a decision that would give a game to any side. This cost us the game.It was inconsistent with every play the ball before and certainly inconsistent with the ptb immediately after. It directly led to the winning drop goal.Other than that Mr Moore did a good job. I congratulate our team they were brilliant and thought it sad that they weren’t included in the medal “ceremony” My final gripe was the selection of where did the money go to Myler as Lance Todd Trophy winner. I would suggest It went to the journalists who chose him.He cost Leeds 6 points and I would offer both Hurrell or Gale as being better candidates, assuming it went to a member of the winning team. Well played Salford I don’t remember being as happy after a Salford loss, you were all fantastic.

A wee bit hammered so I'll try to get this right.
Leeds were a team that honestly was 1 point better, that was as good a CC final as I've ever watched, if Salford (and the sport as a whole) can't market that then we deserve to wither and die.
Leeds showed they had infinitely more big game experience than us, we started virtually every set of 6 from our own goal line and (especially in the 1st half) our kicking was mediocre at best.
Felt much more despondent after the Grand Final last year as we were also rans.
This now MUST be our new yard stick.
Well played everyone, you've done us proud.

Another inexperienced referee though. V v poor decision on PP. But not as bad as Kendall. This refs main fault Week in week out is , ,he never gives offsides, allowing Leeds yards at the ptb. Leeming was a disgrace with it and never penalised.

😳 Records show that we had more experience of Finals than Leeds did.

Quote from Kevin Brown :-
“It’s as low as I’ve felt, in rugby and in life in general,” he said in early evening, an empty stadium having grown even emptier. “I don’t know how many more of these I can take.”

As WAtto said, now we need to keep building for 2021.

Not watched it back yet, terrible call by Moore at the Pauli 'PTB' which swung the game no doubt. Thought the team despite a massive effort looked tired playing so many games over the past weeks. Niall was the best player on the pitch, Leeds scored two identical tries we may have stopped due to Salford rushing the line. Brown and Tui never really got going, maybe that's Leeds defence although they got away with slowing us down consistently. It really does not get much closer than this, credit to the Lads and Watto for keeping this stunning momentum going.
