The problem I’ve always had with Josh Jones is that he only really performed to his potential when he improved his fitness, lost some weight and, surprise surprise,it was in the last year of his contract. The Hull forum criticises him for always turning inside but that’s his game. Hull not using him correctly. Also,Hull was a last minute decision so I assume he was following the money, which is fine, but his heart doesn’t really seem to be there so he’s bound to be offski as there’s a clear out coming he like a few of our players who left last year did so before our good run towards the end of the year. I think he was interviewed in the off season asking whether he would of stayed at Salford if he would of known we'd get to a Grand final he would of stayed. He was cagey to say the least so I'm really not sure he was 100% in going. His missus also was in agreement.

Well Known That his Wifey Was the main reason he left Exeter RU to be nearer her family in St Helens Although we aren't keen on that Code of Rugby on the Forum Jones.J Quite liked it down there and only reluctantly came back It seems the Big salary at the KC Stadium is the only appealing thing about Hull He considered being sent out on loan to Taunton RU part of the learning process, The general consensus in Union circles is He would have eventually made a Good Kick & Clap player.
I'd have had loved to live around those parts when I was younger Proper Cider and more and more Cider ,I'd have been happy as Larry , Who ever he was.

I agree with all of that salfordlad. I wasnt sure about the 6 again rule but it’s really grown on me in the NRL and now in SL. Definitely not missing scrums. Forgot Lannon when I was commenting earlier. I think he was trying to remind Josh Jones of what a good second rower looks like 😂 And we got the rub of the 50:50 calls today (except for their second try) What a brilliant performance. I am going to enjoy watching that again. I agree with the 6 again rule but think scrums are part of the game. We just need to enforce the rules properly and stop the mixing of positions at scrums.

Scrums are a RL appendix. They are just a leftover from a previous time. We're better without them.

The appendix analogy is a good one. It’s painful before getting rid. I’d like to see the scrum removal experiment extended with no final decision yet. I’m concerned that, unlike an appendix,we’ll miss the structure they give for restarts and the nature of the game will change

Head. Wobble. Give. 😁 For fear of offending the Wendyball haters on here the Berties will never be a bigger club than Utd,,!😁 Anyway.... what a quality way to end the RL hiatus for us... just hope the players can keep it up and give us a bit of hope for next season (if we ever get back into the ground!) I don't get the big obsession with club size. I'm enjoying great football and regular silverware which is why we watch the game after all.

What a performance! I must admit, I was a bit nervous going into this one as Hull can pretty dangerous if they show up. It ended up being almost flawless, 1-17 were all great, with Tui being the standout. Can't really find any negatives other than the couple of errors which led to tries, and my ESPL prediction being drastically wrong. You can't ask for much more than dishing out a 10-try demolition for the first game back

Does anyone know who gave the flick on pass for Williams’ try? Watched it several times and can’t work out who it was. I would expect it was Sarge or Evalds, but didn’t look like either of them.

Team of the week contains
Lolohea Atkins Lussick Yates
Amazingly Rachford got in as full back. But not a bad new 'spine' from Watto

The coverage of the game is my all time favourite of what's wrong with the other team, how they underperformed, etc etc etc
I should be used to it .........

I’m no fan of the commentators on Sky but I think they told it pretty much as it was. We played superbly well on the back of Watson’s tactics and,as the game wore on,they fell apart. I thought ,for once, they were very complimentary to us
