Confirmed that he's gone to Leigh on a 2-year contract. Link

As I see it the following is our squad for 2017 as it stands in the coach's preferred positions and in the current pecking order. I've included Brinning as I think that is a done deal, I think Kenny was til end of season so he's out, Lee is gone I reckon, Joseph was only 1 year I think? and I'm not sure if Gee has left or just out on loan:
Full backs: O'Brien , Evalds, Williams Wingers: Carney, Evalds, Johnson, Vidot, Bibby Centres: Sau , Jones, Bibby, Gee? Half backs: Dobson, Lui, O'Brien, Wood Front row: Kopczak, Griffin, Krasniqi, A Walne, Hagg1erty, Andrade, Bent Hooker: Tomkins, Brinning, Wood, Wilkinson, Back row: BMM, Hauraki , Flanagan, Jones, J Walne, Lannon
I don't think we have a lot of strength in depth in most positions. we've been lucky this year - most of our injuries have been in the 3/4 where we had lots of decent players but taking Griffin and MCB out makes that look thin. we definitely need a centre or two, a prop, and probably a hooker and a back rower. Tomkins has made good progress this year and if he keeps improving we may not need another hooker but we haven't got much behind him so I would definitely take a (say) Lunt if he was available. if Burgess signs on and we get Green that is a pretty impressive front row. If O'Brien gets injured it is a big problem for us - Evalds moves there so can't cover wing and v little cover at half back
First 13 looks pretty strong - GOB, Carney, Sau, Jones, Evalds, Lui, Dobson, Koppy, Tomkins, Griffin, BMM, Weller, Flash
But after that there's not much real quality. What we have got though is a really committed hard working squad and I am proud of all of them. Not often we've been able to say that about a Salford squad for a while

I agree with most of the thoughts here so far. We need a decent prop and quality centre to start with. If the contract allows I would ditch Vidot as he simply hasn't produced. It is so frustrating the guy has all the attributes physically but something isn't working upstairs. So for me we need a 3/4 replacement. As a bonus it would be nice to pick up a quality 9 like Lunt.

Wasn't there some talk about signing Mossop from Wigan? Very much in the Kopczak mould, steady performer and can you imagine the first hit up when him or Bateman have the ball

My mate I'd saying waney could be letting ben flowers go as he's a bit of a lose cannon and they have some decent young props coming thro. Would you take him? He can be a liability but he's exactly what we need

I'd take Flower yes, good no nonsense prop, gives you plenty of minutes and is a real handful.

Nice bloke but just not cut out for Super League level anymore. I remember when we tried him at Hooker against Cas in the Cup and it was pretty bad. Best of luck to him though.

Joseph was always a strange one for me, think this was based more on Watson knowing him from his Wales days than league form, that said during his last season with Widnes he played out of his skin against us, you have to think in the Championship he will be an absolute wrecking ball. Good that we are clearing out a few players like this.

It's encouraging to see that we are investing in youth; not only by bringing through our own Academy players but also looking at recruiting youthful talent.
Hopefully the days where we have to sell our younger players are behind us. When I did the Q&A with Marwan Koukash earlier this year, he made it clear that investing in youth was the direction that the club has deliberately aiming for.
