Heard more than 1 person say that sports events will be forced to play with no spectators.
Will the fact we have such low crowds actually for once help us.

Maybe it will stop the Wigan team from turning up. We might stand a chance then.

The government has said there is no rationale for postponing sporting events at this time so the Wigan game is safe at least.

The government has said there is no rationale for postponing sporting events at this time... based upon how government statements usually work we can probably expect the ban to be announced imminently then! On a related note, what are the implications for club finances if games end up played behind closed doors? Salaries etc will still need to be paid, and presumably the stadium management company will still require their pound of flesh for using the facilities, particularly if they aren't getting the opportunity to fleece folks for food and drink? Also, will the club find itself in a position where ST holders will need to be compensated if they are forced to miss a number of games?

My guess, considering the state of rugby league finances, is that games will be postponed before they would be played behind closed doors. The club just can’t afford to play games without any gate money or refund any tickets.

At least thugs Flower and Partington suspended. And if JH still eats at Bleaseys once a week, a really strong curry might do. Mrs B get it sorted.

In true Salford style I think this has got great game, and possibly a Salford win, written all over it. The doom mongers are out, relegation odds are shortening, we’ve just found out a key player has signed elsewhere and we are playing top of the league - these are the times we pull a performance out of the bag. Add in the promising signs from last week, the return of JH to get the crowd going and the fact that our pack matches up well against Wigan’s depleted lot and I think this should be a good un.
Please don’t remind me of this post if we lose but I may bring it up if we win!

I keep leaning towards the opinion of London Red about this game. But surely Wigan will be fired up for it after what happened last time we met, and I'm not sure that we've got it in us to match that.

Maybe Clubb will go head chasing Hastings again, get sent off, and confine Hastings to sitting out the rest of the game.

Government set to publish legislation at lunchtime to ban public gatherings, I expect the game is gonna be off.

Government set to publish legislation at lunchtime to ban public gatherings, I expect the game is gonna be off. It will give them the power to ban public gatherings but doesn’t mean they will use it immediately. I’ve seen that football might play games behind closed doors but that’s seems to be by choice. Calling off the game at a day’s notice seems a bit much but I’m as in the dark as anyone so it’s only my opinion and I’m often wrong. Next week’s is looking much less likely though.
