These are not normal times. If things continue to escalate, we can expect big changes in how society functions, at least for a month or so.

Government set to publish legislation at lunchtime to ban public gatherings, I expect the game is gonna be off. It will give them the power to ban public gatherings but doesn’t mean they will use it immediately. I’ve seen that football might play games behind closed doors but that’s seems to be by choice. Calling off the game at a day’s notice seems a bit much but I’m as in the dark as anyone so it’s only my opinion and I’m often wrong. Next week’s is looking much less likely though. Yeah BBC saying it is not likely to be enforced at this stage, really looking forward to tomorrow strangely so hope it doesn't get called off. Could really hurt a club like us financially

The saving grace for tomorrow is that Wigan is so close by, they in theory can call it off and not cause to much disruption.
Do think if games are cancelled for any period of time some clubs will struggle to point of nearing bankruptcy, can't see hand to mouth lower league teams being able to survive.

I know I’m being massively selfish here but trains up from London ain’t cheap and I’ve got this week and next booked.

This is the sort of game where the majority of us are expecting a fairly heavy defeat, but in true Salford style we get a win that kick starts our season. Hopefully....!

Or an unbelievably entertaining defeat like Saints last season that kick started the belief the team needed, to do what they did last year. Seems a long time ago now though!

In true Salford style I think this has got great game, and possibly a Salford win, written all over it. The doom mongers are out, relegation odds are shortening, we’ve just found out a key player has signed elsewhere and we are playing top of the league - these are the times we pull a performance out of the bag. Add in the promising signs from last week, the return of JH to get the crowd going and the fact that our pack matches up well against Wigan’s depleted lot and I think this should be a good un. Please don’t remind me of this post if we lose but I may bring it up if we win! Ahem!

Sarg absolute class. We've got a quality set of forwards and once they got on top ot was hard to stop the. I'll hold my hands up and say Flanagan is the key to our attack and he should start. Fingers crossed this kicks starts our season and we don't let this positivity slip by being pasted by cas next week.
