Thinking out loud and all — but might there be scope to offer Hastings an upgraded deal to get him to stay with the extra £ we’ll be getting? I don’t think any arguments about trophy prospects or being in a better shop window hold-up under scrutiny as he’ll get less credit at Wigan than for what he’s done for us, and Wigan won’t be competing for trophies until 2021 at the earliest — even with him.
I would normally be against players doing contract u-turns but in this case...

I’d love for it to happen but I can’t see JH being the type of guy to back out of a signed contract, unfortunately.

Would be brilliant but never going to happen unfortunately.
It did strike me last night that Lam being there is a big reason he's gone yet Lam is patently a crap coach.
Might be interesting if Lam goes early next season if Jackons motivation drops.

On a similar note, I did hear last night that JJ missus has decided she’s not happy with having to move to Hull.....

I would be surprised if Hastings does an ‘Edwards’ but I can see him at Salford again one day down the line.

He’s signed a contract- unless someone buys him out he’s off to Wigan or getting sued. Simple as that.
Makes you wonder what could have been if the approach date was moved closer to the end of the season- would he have stayed? Maybe.

I wouldn't like Jackson to change his mind.I would not like it done to us.

I wouldn't like Jackson to change his mind.I would not like it done to us. I I totally agree whereas JJ could genuinely plead compassionate grounds as her indoors isn’t happy. Cant see it happening though and,in any event,I think he’d end up at Saints or Wigan

I’ve yet to hear him give any praise to the opposition in any game context.....truly awful.

Imagine if we did win and we ended up playing Sydney City Roosters I the world club challenge. I suspect Jacko will be angling for a one match loan move back to play in that game
