I spent some time looking over the Wigan sites to see what they hope JH will bring to them. Some comments drip with arrogance. Two posters stated Wigan need to buy Lachlan Coote now to complement JH's running style: just because they're Wigan why do they think Saints' International full-back will immediately join them? I do not think JH will have the welcome he had here.

The funds to buy him out of his contract have become available (not from MK or the prize money but another bizarre source). He doesn’t want to go Wigan. I believe what I’ve heard but my niggling doubt is still the fact I can’t see JH being the sort of man to back out of a contract.

I have maintained from the start that I don't think he will have anywhere near the same freedom to play his natural game at Wigan and I honestly think he will struggle, at Salford he is much the biggest fish in a small pond where at Wigan he is just another big name player.
I also don't see him 'back flipping' on his Wigan deal, I'd dearly love to see him go to the NRL for 2020 though.

Moley is reporting that Brisbane Broncos are sniffing about for Hastings for 2020.

I absolutely hate to be one of them d**kheads but I can’t say. But the person I heard it from is massively reliable and the bizarre source is actually very bizarre. If the rumour becomes common knowledge and I hear it elsewhere, I’ll post it.

Amazing statement Chang, but if he's bought out then he's not backing out, he's just part of a commercial deal. Needs to be handled positively...Hastings emotionally tied to the 'misfits'
If your info is correct it'll be interesting to know the source of the money

I just hope this or the Broncos rumour doesn’t cause any distraction this week. The team needs all their focus on Saturday.

I'd love this to be true, as we all would. I think if we win on Saturday there's an even bigger chance of him staying. Also, after watching Wigan the last few weeks, Jackson isn't going to solve their problems, I can see them struggling again next year ( I know they finished 2nd so you could argue they've not struggled) but a poor cup run and a home defeat in a semi-final to little old Salford isn't a good enough season for them. I think they've got bigger problems than who's going to be no 7 for them next year.

Also...IF true, what happens to Kevin Brown, do we think he's been offered deal based on first team game time ? - if not would he be happy in our reserve grade, or in a coaching role? presume Aktin was only ever interchange 9 & replacement for Logan.

"presume Aktin was only ever interchange 9 & replacement for Logan": Connor Jones is a 9. He can also paly 6 (or 7).

Really hope this happens. Also, didn't I read that Josh Jones doesn't want to go now as his wife isn't happy about living in Hull? BTW, Does anyone know how the agreement to move to a new club at the end of the season, (during mid-season), actually works contractually etc, i.e. is it just a pre-contract till the end of the season when the I's are dotted and T's are crossed then? Just wondered?

Just wondered? I have no idea to be honest. If you notice though, sides tend to announce signings when they've put pen to paper. I can't recall Wigan actually officially announcing Hastings as a Wigan player, only seeing media stating that he will be playing at Wigan next year. Maybe I'm just grasping at straws. Haha
