A win on Sunday will get us back into top 5 after Catalans lost tonight Leeds to win the league, World series, World Cup, Pot Black, the cheese rolling contest in Gloucestershire and a Blue Peter badge.

Oh God I'd love a London win tomorrow, bit of daylight for us and puts Hull Krap Rovers And Huddersfield right back in the clart.

It certainly will be interesting to see Watson's 17 on Sunday, especially after such a strong performance last week and with Sio & Lannon back in contention. I must say it's very encouraging going to the final games of the season and (dare I say it) the play-offs with virtually a full squad to pick from (well, apart from Griffin & Chamberlain both of whom would struggle to get in at the minute IMO). And the current 'Man of Steel' and Super Leagues top try scorer. Not to mention we are coming off the back of 3 fantastic victories. But, this is Salford something has to go wrong surely? - Let's hope not! (prays) I believe Sio will come back in this week, taking up his preferred position at left wing with Inu slotting back into left centre. Welham's in the form of his career and will remain at right centre and I think we should go Bibby at right wing as he's a bit more solid than Olpherts, who's got a lot of mistakes in him as we know. Although, he's better out of yardage than Bibby. This would be my 17, we need a strong start and there's plenty of graft and firepower coming off the bench. Evalds Sio Inu Welham Bibby Tui Hastings Mossop Tomkins Dudson Jones McCarthy Flanagan Lussick Johnson Walker Lannon I really hope we can make amends for that awful performance against Huddersfield a few weeks ago, that was our worst game of the season by some distance. I'm going 38 - 14 to Salford, with a brace from Evalds and Hastings MoM (again!).

Not sure if this delightful weather plays into the Hudds hands or not, certainly not going to be a free flowing Devil may care day.
Load the bench with forwards and pummel them is more the tactic I'd go for.

Apparently it's going to stop raining by 10-11am and it isn't expected to rain after that, so hopefully the pitch will have dried up by 3pm. 17c and cloudy conditions are perfect for a game of Rugby League.

NO The conditions for the NRL game that just finished were perfect, a stadium with palm trees growing at 1 end. Can't think I've ever seen a more idilic setting for a game.

Saw that as well - it was a bit nice! I made the decision yesterday to travel up for the game today- currently stuck on a delayed train with hundreds of United and Chelsea fans. Didn’t think this one through!

Wish I’d stayed at home, this is horrendous. So far it’s going the same way as the last game against Huddersfield. Watson needs to sort their heads out at half time.

It was worth the journey in the end. It was indeed! Second half was much better- tightened up and played to the conditions (the ref!). Inu was superb all game though.

Always trust Watto, best coach we have had since I started watching in the tamati era. He’s the most vital part of the team, forget Jacko , Watto is our most prized asset

Good determined win by keeping the pressure on, but glad I don't have to watch Huddersfield each week, absolutely dire. And their tactics lying on, constantly slowing the game down, feigning injury, apparently all the beds in Hope are full now.
Ref sadly a bit naive but as they said in Oz RL, want to cut down penalties and faking at the ptb but there's a limit to what teams should continually get away with; not one penalty given for a third man going into the tackle. Think refs need to call 'held' earlier to keep the nonsense down to a minimum.
Still Salford were disciplined, put up with all the rubbish thrown at them, and had a good win. Wish Inu could be consistent with his superb display today then he'd really be worth hanging on to.
Sadly today, apart from the 2 pts, was a poor advert for RL.
