Apparently the first few home games would be played across Europe - Copenhagen and Dublin mentioned. Salford v Toronto in Copenhagen in Spring - take my money!

It's a joke. Leigh Widnes now out. Oldham Swinton Rochdale just about surviving. And Leigh virtually destroyed, sadly. Well the RL has certainly got away from the M62 corridor because it's destroyed most of the Lancashire ( ok Cheshire & GM) teams in it. But of course Wakey Hull kr and Castleford with their new elite stadia are still there!!!
Why are gates going down? Easter v Leigh around 6,000 v Catalan 5 men and a dog.
Why do I go to Canada...to ski, not watch a game on a bouncy castle pitch with more lines than the railways. With people who shout 'in the hole' and don't know or care what the hells going on. And it's muted NZ and NY teams. So in five years time Catalan, Toronto, London, Toulouse, NY Big Apples, NZ Kiwis...oh and 6 M62 teams... Still we can then play our local teams again!
But at least Noble will have made even more money out of a total con.
Rant over.....come on London

The money should go to the grass roots. But it’s predominantly Toronto and Canadian TV money so it isn’t like they are taking money from grassroots. Many, many people complained about Catalans but there are lots of people who enjoy the annual trip and they’ve just won the Challenge Cup. I say lets see what happens next year before we decide it is a terrible idea.

I know it's Toronto’s money. It's not Wigan's Saints or Salford's.It's sky's money if the Canadians don't want it or need it.

Be good at Easter: Catalan at home Good Friday, Toronto away Easter Monday. An easy 4 points and mammoth crowds.
And Wembley will be full in three years time at the Catalan v Toronto final.

They obviously can't play in Winter (regularly 6ft of snow and -20) so they should be made to play at a neutral UK venue. I guess it depends what Hetherington, Lenagan and McManus want. This is what amazes me. How can you have an outdoor sport starting in February in a place where there is such an extreme climate. It's just as ridiculous as say playing the World Cup in Qatar.

If they cannot play until mid april , because of the snow n cold, tough tit. they should be made to play where ever and it should be classed as a home game in toronto, never mind in groups, as someone has already said unfair advantage , same as they have had this season. If the fixtures come out like that, i would be shouting from the roof tops if i was a chairman. and telling the rfl/ sl to go and get you no what.
I will be a london fan for a day.

The money should go to the grass roots. What money? This is sounding like Brexit! One person looking slightly pleased, oh well.

What money? This is sounding like Brexit! One person looking slightly pleased, oh well. Russ I thought Teresa had sorted that out. Did you? I thought no one could accept anyone else's ideas or solutions! In the meantime TWP make our sport more saleable than Batley or Wathbrow and if the sport grows they'll be better off too.

I fly now & again to Toronto on business, was there in May this year, I have never yet got a direct flight from Manchester. Rugby league will continue its slow death, not only with the expansion path but its continued unlevel playing field & Thursday night games. The game will continue to decline making the rugby football league even more desperate, why not introduce a team from Japan, where will it end. I still go out of loyalty but I nolonger follow or enjoy the sport, the game reminds me too much of wrestling quite a fix.
What the game should be doing is fixing Leigh, instead of promoting the game for TV, I understand the game needs sponsorship but this is not the way forward. Come on London, the odds are stacked against you.

I was caught by the hype of TWP, but in the harsh light of day, "saleable" or not, it's going to leach money from the game into airfares and accommodation.
I don't begrudge the costs associated with the French teams: the region is part of the rugby family and had to struggle more than we did against the knob ends of kick and clap to keep the game going.
I'll probably go to the Toronto game, if TWP are promoted, because I'm a Salford fan and can spare the cash (and my wife has rellies there). I'd much rather go to watch Kells, Egremont or Wath Brow any day, however un-"saleable" they might be.
